The floors on each floor are made of cypress from Yoshino, Nara, the same material used in the construction of Horyuji Temple. It can accommodate up to 9 guests. It is also recommended for stays with friends, such as "adult school trips", creative training camps, and travelers who love architecture. There are supermarkets, cafes, Chinese restaurants, dango shops, specialty bakeries, Japanese restaurants that have won Michelin stars, famous confectionery shops, and other urban areas nearby. On the other hand, there are also quiet landscapes dotted with the old charm of Madara, where you can enjoy a relaxing stroll. Nakamiya-ji Temple, which has a national treasure, the Half-Recumbent Buddha, Hoki-ji Temple, a World Heritage site alongside Horyu-ji Temple, Jikoin Temple, which has a magnificent view overlooking the Daiheino Plain, and Mt. Sanshitsu and the Tatsuta River, which were also mentioned in the Hyakunin Isshu, are also nearby. Located on a hill with a good view, you can overlook the scenery of Nara from the veranda and the second floor windows. We created a clean and comfortable space with the image of a home where you can stay as if it were your own. There are 4 rooms, each with 2 single beds. 15 minutes by cable car from Torii-mae Station, a 10-minute walk, to Ikoma Mountain Amusement Park, the night view of Osaka from the top of the mountain is so good that it was certified by the "COOL JAPAN AWARD 2019". In addition, the approach to Horyu-ji Temple, which starts right next to the house, has restaurants with good views, so you can enjoy the old-fashioned atmosphere. The early morning walk is very refreshing. Ikoma Station is a 10-minute walk and is a convenient station with 4 lines. There are hills and stairs from Ikoma station, so if you have large luggage, I recommend taking a taxi from the station (about 700 yen) 10-minute walk to supermarket, department store, and restaurants. You can rent an entire guest house in an authentic Japanese house from the Taisho period, built about 100 years ago. You can have a relaxing stay in Nara without hesitation. Right next to Nara Park, about 10 minutes on foot to Kintetsu Nara Station. It is also easy to take a quiet walk in the early morning or at dusk. Same price for up to 4 people.It can accommodate up to 9 people. The Japanese house, built in the Taisho period, is full of charm with its lattice windows, tea room, veranda, and courtyard. Please relax in the living room with a sunken kotatsu facing the courtyard. The kitchen is equipped with an IH stove, microwave, toaster, refrigerator, pots, cooking utensils, etc. Please enjoy cooking together, watching the garden, and gathering around the sunken table for a hot pot! There are two toilets and two shower rooms. There are no facilities like a hotel, but we would appreciate it if you could have a nostalgic atmosphere and a relaxing time. There are only bedrooms, a total of 3 rooms (4 rooms if you divide the large Japanese-style room). We will prepare it according to the number of people. Nishimura Residence is an old-fashioned Nara-machiya that has been standing on a piece of Nara-machi for more than 100 years. I was a “grandmother” for a long time when I was a child. In Nara Town, there is a pleasant despicable feeling that never changes. "I want to be filled with this pleasant contempt even for future generations." With that in mind, I took care of the empty Nishimura Residence. - Nishimura-Tei is originally a traditional Japanese house which has been here in Nara-machi town over 100 years, where my grandmother used to live in. My mother and I decided to renovate this house to preserve and pass down the virtue of good old days in Japan to the next generation as well as to show it to you.

A newly renovated machiya town house with typical layout and a small garden, retaining the tradition of Naramachi - the old merchant town of Nara. Easy access via bus and train, supermarket, restaurants, convenience store, bakery, and a Japanese bath house just minutes away. This house belonged to a famous wood carver of "ittobori" - a traditional Nara technique of carving the wood. A projector and a record player will make your stay even more pleasant. Enjoy!

We restored Machiya while keeping the original structure in order to provide you with a traditional Japanese experience with local atmosphere.This house is for only private use and has only one floor with Japanese style room, shower room, washroom, sink and small garden.
