Vacation rentals with breakfast in Yamaguchi

I spent 2 nights with Mr & Mrs Tanaka, and I felt like part of the family. They were extremely kind and both gave me lifts to/from Miyauchi Kushido train station (5mins from Miyajimaguchi, so easy to reach Itsukushima and spend all day there until sunset. The house is spacious and the bedroom is private with a comfy bed. Mrs Tanaka cooks amazing food! She made cakes, breakfast and dinner for me every day. We all communicated using translation apps and it worked out fine! Would recommend, especially to any solo travellers looking for a home away from home.

I had a wonderful time staying at Masakazu-san and Junko-san's beautiful home! Their warm welcome made me feel at home immediately. The room is spacious and cozy, with a super comfortable bed. The house, designed and built by the two of them, was also an aesthetic pleasure. Their care is evident in many thoughtful gestures like providing filtered water for your tea/coffee (which I found carefully refilled the next day) and a list of neighbourhood restaurants they recommend. The home-cooked breakfast feasts, which Junko-san kindly made vegetarian for me, were so delicious, and she even made different dishes on the two days so there was a lot of amazing food to try. I had a big cycling tour planned on my first day, and when I came up for breakfast I found dextrose prepared for me, the best train connection picked out, and Masakazu-san ready to drive me to the station. Their kindness was honestly so humbling and warming - thank you, to both of you. This is AirBnB at its very best!

We enjoyed our stay with Tomomi. Unfortunately we did not get to paddleboard (they usually do it more in spring and summer months) which I was not aware of beforehand. But we did get to enjoy a family style meal home cooked by Tomomi which was great. She was very welcoming and we would love to come back for paddle boarding. We would also love to check out Tomomi’s restaurant at which she’s a chef!

It was very fun to stay at Tomomi’s place! She was very accommodating and cooked dinner for us. In addition, she picked us up from the train station which was kind of her. Just a note for people considering this stay—Tomomi’s place is a ~15 minute walk from the train station (as shown on Google maps). This can be a little inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage. However, my mother who is in her 60’s was fine with this walk. But just a heads up for those who may have disabilities.

I had a lovely stay at Kikue’s place. It was in a quiet location with easy access to the city and good food places nearby. The house is clean and as shown on the pictures. The highlight was Kikue’s great energy and the superb breakfast she made each morning!

Kikue was here for everything, she was very enthusiastic, she gave me some good council for the visit of Itsukushima, and all breakfasts were exceptional. 3 days was too short. Thanks you for the home atmosphere

Wow, what an amazingly designed place to stay, in such a beautiful, off the beaten path town! I can't say enough good things about the space and the hosts, Tamachan was so helpful and friendly, and she and the kitchen staff were so very kind to feed me while they were hosting a private dinner (while the cafe was technically closed!). Tsuwano is also just such an unexpectedly lovely and peaceful place nestled in a river valley, I can't wait to return!

Jeg og min sønn på 19 bodde hos Kikue og hennes mann i en natt. Hun var veldig hyggelig og vi følte oss hjemme. Det var så fint å bo hjemme hos en privat familie for å kunne oppleve hvordan de bor. Kikue laget nydelig frokost til oss og var så hyggelig å snakke med. Hun kjørte oss til togstasjonen, noe som var veldig hyggelig. Vil absolutt anbefale stedet.

綺麗なお部屋でした！ 子供達はベットの寝心地が最高！と嬉しそうでした。 Komachiさんが丁寧にご連絡をくれたので、とてもスムーズに宿泊できました。 朝食も美味しかったです！

Het was een uiterst aangenaam verblijf in dit uiterst comfortabele appartement. De ligging is rustig en overal vlakbij. We hebben de laatste dag genoten van het heerlijk verse ontbijt dat ons werd aangeboden. Wij kunnen dit enkel aanbevelen!

l'immeuble est très facile d'accès, bien plus proche des 'activités' que l'on pourrait le penser. l'appartement est tout simplement le meilleur rapport qualité prix que j'ai pu trouver au Japon. 117€ pour deux nuits avec petit déjeuner c'est à peine croyable mais 100% vrai. Fonctionnel, propre, presque spacieux, à vu de nez 40m2. Proche, 10mn à pied d'un très grand supermarché (Fuji Gran de mémoire) donc extrêmement pratique. Le peu de temps que j'ai passé à Hiroshima m'a laissé un sentiment plaisant, j'ai presque eu envie de demander à l'hôtesse une location à l'année. retirer un lit double de la chambre ferait pâlir d'envie n'importe quel studio ou t1 de France.. bref 20/20 si on considère le prix payé. merci encore à Yuka pour son offre et accueil !

This is a really great find. Friendly instant communication with Komachi. Upmarket area of the city within walking distance of the Peace Park and related locations + close to the tramway and bus, restaurants etc. The apartment is part of an ultra-modern complex and has the important addition of the lift. The interior is decorated in white throughout and is spacious and immaculately clean. All amenities, fittings etc are brand new and there is literally nothing lacking. The big surprise then is the price, which is way below what I would expect to pay for this kind of standard. Fabulous overall rating.
