This time I stayed by bus, but even though it was close to the bus stop, they came to pick me up, and it was really helpful because it was raining heavily on the way back, so they took me home.Thank you very much. It's a great place to get a feel for Yakushima.The kitchen was stocked with seasonings, so I was able to cook, and there was also a washing machine and dryer, so I was able to stay at ease.

Fantastic no accommodation with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Spacious rooms with comfortable beds and AC. Would highly recommend, the area was great, with lots of nearby hikes, beaches and places to eat!

Nagata's Mountain House on the secret boundary of Yakushima

A nice simple house in nature, very private and secluded. We enjoyed going to the beach and sitting on the deck looking out at the sea and all the green of Yakushima. The host was super helpful and generous especially when our ferry was cancelled and we had to wait a few days to get to the island. Thank you!

Mike's house is consistently built and decorated in Japanese style, wonderfully quiet location, sea view, terrace, plenty of space and equipped with everything you need to feel comfortable, cook, relax. We stayed there for 4 nights and felt super comfortable. However, it is advisable to have a rental car to be flexible on the island; Mike also supported us there with the rental, everything worked out great. Were our most relaxing days in Japan here!

This is such a wonderful place to stay! Very cozy with lovely surroundings. It is even nicer than the photos. We loved the area and felt right at home. We would definitely love to come again someday. The outdoor onsen was just the best too!

Nakajima's place was perfect for our little family visiting Yakushima. The house was clean, quiet, and spacious. There also were games available for my kids to play, and everything was so comfortable. I would highly recommend staying here.

The homestay is really great, we arrived and found that although there are many homestays around, there are not many homestays with such a nice yard.We walked to the B&B at Miyanoura port and didn't feel far away either.If you want to go to Baigu Yunshui Gorge like me, staying in a B&B is also a very good choice, there is a bus stop directly within a short walk, and the host also provides the bus schedule and location, which is very convenient.A rope shirt was played the next day with the help of a guide, and it was also a very satisfying itinerary for two nights for three days.A lot of things were not the host's obligations and the patience helped us figure it out, which was really appreciated.Because our English and Japanese are not good, we got a lot of help from the host who can speak Chinese as well as the tour guide couple, and the itinerary was very smooth.

we had an excellent time at this place. the house is large and comfortable as well as beautiful and very tastefully decorated. the kitchen has everything you might need. the sauna was an excellent addition and we enjoyed using it very much. all in all this is a great place to stay with a great host and very highly recommended.

The space was so peaceful. We ended up hanging out there more than expected due to how nice it was. The area is very quiet and there’s a small town you can walk to for groceries which was very helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!

This is an incredible space. Kato and her husband have built a stunning space, set into the forest, that smells of amazing cedar. It’s serene and tranquil. The hammock swing inside adds a touch of fun to the place. It’s just incredibly special. We did our trip by bus which was a little tricky but doable! She was about 5 mins from the closest bus stop. We were able to see a lot and spend quality time at the place. This is a no brainer place to stay if you are going to rent a car. Kato was extremely helpful, driving us to the grocery store when we arrived (for free) and to the airport when we left (for less than a taxi). She was responsive to questions and helpful with suggestions of what to do on the island.

The House, its location and the communication with Yuri was perfect overall! We don’t have to mention how beautiful Yakushima is. A natural paradise and a great getaway after visiting Japan’s busy cities. The location is just perfect and has the nicest climate and flora on the whole island! We’d really like to come back! Chie was so accommodating during my entire stay. From check in to check out, she made sure all my needs were met. Offered activities and helped coordinate taxis. She even offered snacks for my hikes and my farewell. She was so incredibly kind and wanted to make my stay the best, and she exceeded that. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there and met incredible people that I hope to keep in touch with.

This is truly a magical place! The property is nestled on the southern coast of Yakushima, set in a natural environment where you can enjoy both the sea and a breathtaking array of stars at night. The architecture is minimalist, with beautiful wooden features, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed. It has everything you could possibly need and more. I must say, the kitchen is the most well-equipped I’ve ever encountered! It was a real pleasure to cook there. I would definitely recommend this place, and I want to extend my sincere thanks for the wonderful hospitality.

A perfect stay for the 10 of us visiting Yakushima. Helmed by 2 professional and accommodating hosts, Taguchi-San and his wife, we felt right at home. They helped picked up our luggages, arranged car rental, great local recommendations and most importantly accurate weather forecast on the island. Their place comes with good-sized bedrooms, large communal living and dining space. Spotlessly clean shared bathrooms and toilets. Highly recommend to book their sumptuous home style cooking for breakfast and dinner!

Wonderful place to stay with sea views. Everything was exactly as described Fully equipped - there was nothing missing. Even coffee & tea was available. Very friendly communication. Very caring and affectionate hosts who took care of every departure in a timely manner and offered solutions. Super uncomplicated and worry-free rental car organization. We made the right choice in this house. Everything is impeccable and with clear instructions down to the smallest detail. It is spacious and comfortable and the terrace from where you can see the sea is wonderful. I will definitely try to book again next time I return to Yakushima. I'm not interested in finding a different place to stay.

we stayed 4 nights at Morino Fairy, and really liked it! the place is great, had everything you need. the outdoor bath was fun, the view to the garden and ocean is nice! the area is very quiet. upon arrival Shiiko greeted us very nicely, and have us lots of instructions to get started. the hosting was kind and attentive. the only slight downside is the location which you should have a rented car, everything is at least 10 minutes drive from there but besides that, it was an excellent hub for our next Yakushima adventure. Thank you!
