Lake cabins in Yakima County

The on-site help from Jeremy as we were driving in to needing an additional gas tank was phenomenal. The stay was good. I will say it was a disappointment to wake up to no k cups when we saw the coffee machine we thought for sure there would be coffee available also but there wasn’t. All in all we had a great stay.

Overall a wonderful stay. We stayed in Cabin A, which was very cute, with a propane grill, kitchenette, and patio with table and chairs. Everything seemed very clean, with the exception of some wear and tear and stains on the couch and arm/rocker chair. Very dog friendly. Of note: there are no mirrors at all in Cabin A, which made it a bit difficult as a contact lens wearer. There are a ton of RVs and trailers that seem to reside permanently there, and everyone we encountered were very friendly. Also, be sure you write down or screen shot your welcome/check in instructions, as there is no signal or internet without WiFi once you arrive to be able to pull the info up. The hosts kindly informed me this may be the case, and gave me the WiFi and check in info several days prior to arrival, but my mom brain forgot to save the info, so we had to track someone down to get to our cabin and checked in. Very friendly and helpful hosts. My husband, our 8 month old, and dog all had a great time!

Wonderful home and stay in Desert Aire! Home overlooks the 3rd fairway and green...and the Columbia river gorge beyond. It was so peaceful and relaxing to sit out on the back porch at night. House was super comfortable, easy access to the golf course, and local spots. We will def look to be back!

Wow. This place was amazing! The pictures don’t show how big it is very well. All the bunk beds are full size beds that could easily fit two people each. And couch was massive. The pool, jacuzzi, and view were the most spectacular I’ve had at an Airbnb. Hot tubbing under a clear dark sky, kids loving the salt water pool (and not stinking like chlorine after), sipping my coffee in the hot tub in the morning while gazing at the hills and river. It’s so beautiful. Didn’t make it down to the river but I hear it’s great for swimming and water sports in the summer. I’m already thinking about when I can book this house again.

Our expectations were exceeded on every level! We absolutely fell in love with the place and will definitely be booking this house every year for our golf trip! Thank you for sharing your house with us. We can’t wait to be back!

We stayed here for our annual fishing trip. The hosts were amazing and left us a thank you card with a lovely bottle of wine. We were having such a great time, we added another day to our trip! We would highly recommend staying here.

The house and property was amazing! The sunsets off the back patio were priceless and the proximity to the course were as advertised. I'd definitely recommend for a quick and quiet getaway as I would stay here again. Thanks Scott!!

Clark was a wonderful, responsive and a very accommodating host. The house was very well stocked, very clean and had comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again had everything that was needed while the guys were in the area for work.

Steve & Peggy's home in Matawa was neat, clean and uncluttered and easy to settle into. The three bedrooms are spacious, there's a larger central area open to the kitchen. Easy to park in the garage. A nice view of the river from the home. We didn't cook but the coffee pot was perfect! A short walk away is access to the Priest Rapids Recreation Area. There is a level trail along the river. We walked this both days we were there. Nice walk, birding opportunity and easy exercise. If you go north, the trail is paved. Going south the trail becomes gravel. Both directions are good. Communication was great, emails questions were answered promptly, and we had check in information a few days ahead. We left a pair of shoes, and Steve and Peggy have been great arranging a way for us to pick them up. Very kind and easily arranged. We would be happy to stay here again and recommend this listing. We spent a few days there to avoid the rain in Seattle. We took some nice walks along the river, and there was also a hot tub in the yard, which was a nice addition.

Jessica was really responsive and accommodated with all of our needs. Her place was spacious and cleaned. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Such a great place to stay if you’re visiting the gorge for a concert! Now we want to come back in the summer and play in the water!

We rented this place because we were going to a concert that weekend. It was in a reasonable distance from the gorge, so it was easy to get back-and-forth. There is not a lot around the area, but if you need gas or groceries, you can get pretty easily. The place was very clean and the area was peaceful .

Loved the back porch! Amazing view of the canyon, with a very short walk right down to the river from the back door. Clean with comfy beds in an adorable little community of unique houses. Loved walking down to the little store for treats. Shuttle picked us up right from the house to go to the Gorge for our concert. Would definitely stay again!

Great in ground pool. Spacious house with everything you need. Hosts are great with communication. Peaceful neighborhood. Mattawa stores are about a 5 to 10 min drive away.

We had an excellent time. Wish we got to spend more time enjoying the property! I could sit all day on the patio! What a view! Loved all the animals, loved the sound of the frogs in the evening. Such a beautiful cottage. The rooms were amazing, especially the big one! So much room to relax. Super comfy bed!
