I was allowed to use it for two nights.See the photos and plan a trip to Iriomote Island at first sight.I decided to stay at Iriomote Island for the purpose of staying here. In fact, as others have reviewed, there are, of course, problems that can be seen from the neighboring house, and I felt that the house was closer than the first impression and the image of the photos, but it was not so passable, and I personally didn't care about the people, and I enjoyed the luxurious space full of liberation!　It was my favorite place to stay again! The kitchen was also equipped with cooking utensils, plates, appliances, everything, and easy to use, and the use of the shower amenities was good. There was also a communal shop in the neighborhood, which is a few minutes' walk away, and there were all the ingredients, so I didn't have to worry about cooking (but I didn't think I could choose it, so I brought it from home and bought it on Ishigaki Island before heading to Iriomote Island.I think it's good to bring a little if you want to pay attention.) It is about a 5-minute drive from Ohara Port to the inn.However, there is no taxi (or Iriomote Island), and there is also a bus that can be reached near the inn at about 15:30 at a few stops.There is no transfer from the port to the inn.It is also written in the notes, but I thought that renting a car was a must (that, because there are consecutive holidays this time, I couldn't book a rental car for 2 nights and 3 days, and I was only asked to rent a car at Takamori Ryokan, who was supposed to go to Uehara to participate in the activity). For dinner, I cooked myself three times for two nights and three days, but on the night of the first night, I visited "Poissons", which is a few minutes' walk away.No matter what I ate, it was really delicious (fried food was especially excellent), and the homemade island banana sake was also exquisite.It's a good idea to book and visit!

We had a wonderful vacation at Ai's house on Kohama-jima. The house was great! It had everything we needed for our 5 day vacation there! It was very big, clean and quiet. We were welcomed by one of the staff at the port who kindly offered us a ride to the house (that was great since we came with bags full of groceries). When we arrived, we had trouble with starting the hot water, but had help immediately. We also had a ride back to the port when we left! The staff were very accommodating, they even booked for us a table at the local Izakaya! Thank you very much for everything! As for the island, it was idyllic! If you are looking for a quiet place to get away and be in nature (and if you love goats), this is the place for you!

This home is so beautiful, wood panels and tatami mats and beautiful hand made dishes! The owner is such a lovely woman, she helped us out so much, made dinner reservations for us (a must on this island!), gave us a lift to a grocery store, picked us up from a local restaurant because it started raining pretty hard-what a genuinely nice and helpful person! It was a delightful stay, thanks in no small part to the owner! Highly recommend!

Such a great stay!! The host is incredibly kind and generous. She picked us up at the ferry terminal and always checked in to make sure everything was fine. She provided clothes hangers, snacks, and even coffee!! All as a gift!! She also arranged the rental of two snorkelling masks, that let us see a beautiful sea turtle at close by Ida beach. Just be mindful of where you’re going: a secluded village of only 40 people only accessible by ferry. This was exactly what we were looking for, and we wish to come back one day!! Thank you!! :)))
