Our comfortable cottage has easy access into the heart of Chester. The garden gate opens onto the canal towpath with a ten minute stroll up to our local Cheshire Cat pub. Alternatively, stay in and snuggle up with the wood burner. On a fine day, turn left out of the back gate for a pleasant 35 minute walk, following the canal directly into the beautiful city of Chester. Maybe take a boat trip on the river Dee? Alternatively, Chester Zoo is just a 10 minute drive, continuing down the A41.

A quaint cottage, at Aston Hill Farm, Ewloe

This is a newly refurbished cottage, which was originally a farm workers cottage, on a dairy farm. It’s quaint and very nicely finished. The log burner makes the sitting room very cosy. The cottage is attached to a stable block, and forms a u-shape of out-buildings, including our carpentry workshop. The main farmhouse is close by, but separate. We have large gardens, which guest are welcome to use, including a barbecue and pizza oven. Rural location, but close to lots of amenities.

One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in. Very clean, cosy and quirky, with loads of thoughtful touches. Well equipped kitchen, lovely welcome hamper, even a tin of biscuits for the dog. We wanted a coastal location with walks from the door, with places to eat and drink nearby, and we got just that. It was also beautifully quiet at night so we slept like logs. Loads to explore nearby by car, train and ferry. Totally recommend a New Brighton break! Thanks Kate. We had a fabulous time. :-)

Excellent place for partner to stay while working away and on nights. Rural, and quiet, lots of parking which is essential for his pickup truck. Ann and Dave were so accommodating, adapted the heating to suit his working hours which was a great touch. The Airbnb was spacious, clean, modern and had everything needed for a long stay away. We will be saving this as a favourite and have already booked our return. Thank you both for being wonderful hosts.

The cottage was well-equipped, characterful, and peaceful; truly a home away from home. It is situated in a quiet location within a beautiful area. There are great transport links. The property was spotless and had everything required for a cosy, comfortable stay. I had to leave early owing to a medical issue but I will definitely return. Matthew was a friendly and responsive host. Check-in was easy. All in all, a lovely home and host. I highly recommend. Thanks, Matthew!

We had a beautiful week in the cottage, the house was very cozy, spacious and bright and there was everything we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped, too. Dorothy and Tom were great hosts, we were greeted with fruit loaf, free range eggs and a bottle of wine and they gave us very helpful recommedations on what to do and directions. The location itself is very quiet and on the edge of the village, a perfect starting point to go for a walk on the sheep paths in the hills anytime.

We had a great time staying in Jane's barn conversion. It was an ideal place for us to have some downtime as a family. There's some lovely local pubs for food as well as not being far from Chester, Delamere Forest and Anderton boat lift, more than enough to keep our boys entertained.

The accommodation is lovely. As the “Nags Head” is literally just round the corner if you choose not to cook, evening or breakfast they are very accommodating. We used this place for the grand national. Getting an Uber there was easy. Trying to get one back proved more difficult. But the stay there was extremely comfortable 💖
