From the moment we arrived, Nigel made us feel completely at home. The house was immaculate and had absolutely everything we needed – from essentials to a variety of thoughtful food options to choose from. It truly felt like a home away from home in Hawker. What sets Nigel apart is his genuine care and passion for hosting. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was nothing short of amazing. It’s rare to meet someone who loves what they do so much – and it shows in every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you, Nigel – we’ll definitely be back!

Secluded and incredibly quiet, the perfect spot to stargaze or use as base for exploring around Wilpena. Steven was exceptionally personable and very helpful.

Gorgeous place to stay with lovely staff as a bonus. Check in was seamless, communication with Michelle was fantastic. We visited in summer but will definitely be going back in the winter months to enjoy the surroundings around the camp fire.

Wonderful view and house, private, very nicely furnished and decorated. Would love to come back. Serviced every 2nd day. They also fill the fridge with breakfast provisions for 2 days every 2nd day: eggs, milk, juice, croissants, toast, butter, jams, honey. Nice restaurant at the main area. Fantastic food and view. At certain times they also do some takeaway meals like lamb pizza (so good).

What a fantastic and well appointed place in a location ideal for exploring Flinders Ranges. Nigel is a friendly and communicative host who clearly loves what he does. So many great details in his home made for a wonderful experience - the fresh bread ready and waiting for us, the well stocked pantry and fridge, clear instructions for using all the appliances, and so many recommendations on how best to spend our time there. Can’t recommend Nigel enough for anyone looking to explore a really special part of the world.

There shearers quarters are a perfect location to base yourself to explore what the Flinders ranges has to offer. The quarters are tucked away in a secluded country pocket away from any tourist hustle and bustle, but only a 10 minute drive to the conviences and walking trails of Wilpena pound. The host has maintained the old country charm of yester-year while providing today's modern comforts. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need to cook up an amazing feast! While there is no TV, there is ample board games to connect with your fellow travellers and enjoy your technology detox. This place would be an amazing spot to stay at with a large group of friends or family. We loved the campfire for roasting marshmallows and star gazing. We would absolutely love to stay here again if in the area again! Thank you Mija!!!

A very functional and clean unit which feels quite roomy. The kitchenette has all the facilities required for self catering, if that is you want. TheAmy communicated well and everything was as expected.

Great place to stay if you like conservation parks. It is very peaceful and lots of wildlife. The house provided everything we needed. Looking forward to staying here again when in town.

This was a hidden gem. Right across the legendary Cradock Hotel this place was an oasis of peace. The place itself had a very relaxing and calming energy. And lots of friendly touches including stuff for the kids. We enjoyed the outback sunset in the backyard. It was an unforgettable experience. Hope we get to visit again. 10 out of 5 stars !
