Beachfront vacation rentals in Whitsand Bay

It was a real treat to get to stay in such an historic property with amazing views and outdoor space! They have gone out of their way to make this quirky, old cottage into a small oasis - comfy sitting room, strong wifi, plenty of hot water, comfy bed, dish washer, etc. It was great to walk parts of the Coastal Path and come back to our cozy lodging. Definitely book the private parking if you can, it is already a bit difficult without going all the way to the public parking.

Mario was a fantastic host and very quick to respond to any questions. On arrival at the property we unloaded the luggage outside and then drove to a suggested carpark an 8 minute walk back to the property. Mario had provided a lovely welcome basket of goodies and there was a dog bed provided which our dog really enjoyed snuggling up in after our days out. The property is ideally situated on a quiet street but with shop's and some really lovely restaurants a minutes walk away (Juju's tapas was amazing food, hosts and ambience. Fifty restaurant another must, book if you have a special occasion and like fine dining. The Cody Shack for the best fish and chips). We had some lovely day trips to Polperro, Wistmans Wood in Dartmoor was stunning. There is a beautiful coastal walk from Looe to Talland Bay hotel with wonderful views. If you are looking for a quiant and comfy base to explore Looe and the surrounding area we would very much recommend Marios place, you won't be disappointed.

We had the most amazing week with our 4 boys at The Old Guard in May. We have been renting various properties in Hope Cove for many years. Wendy's property is now our absolute favourite!! Not only did we have fabulous weather but the location is just perfect for getting out on the kayaks etc The warm outdoor shower is brilliant for when you get back! The balcony is very large and a great space! The views from the balcony are spectacular and the sunsets incredible. The kitchen had everything you need. They utility area with washer and dryer is very useful staying with a family. The property was really well designed & clean and comfortable to stay in. Wendy had said the parking would be tight, but we got our 2 vehicles in no problem just a bit of time to go back and forth and one is a long wheelbase Mercedes Vito! We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to come back again! Thank you Wendy for all your messages and prompt replies when we had any questions.

Everything exactly as described. Was such a unique and beautiful location, perfect accommodation for the 4 of us over the week. Enough places within a short walk to have breakfast, lunch or dinner plus the ability walk a round trip loop along the entire beach at low tide. Really enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend.

What a treat! We had a 4 night stay in this beautiful house where every last detail has been thought about to add to your enjoyment and comfort. Everything was first class, very comfortable beds and pillows, spotless bathrooms with proper size towels, plenty of good cutlery and tableware, utensils for cooking if you wanted to cook. The house was a delight with lovely deep sofas overlooking one of the balconies to the ever changing landscape of the waters beyond. It would be hard not to enjoy whatever the weather throws at you! A fantastic location, right in the heart of Boscastle. Space was comfortable and all that we needed. Outdoor space a real bonus and car parking. Easy access to local places of interest. Range of games and books were great, even a cricket bat. Easy access and check in. We will definitely stay again as often visit this part of Cornwall.

We had a wonderful stay at CornerCottage. It is so spacious and perfect for 6 adults, 4 children and two dogs. There is plenty of space in the garden for games and the shared wildlife and play area is great. The house is extremely well equipped, we couldn't think of anything that wasn't supplied. The beds are really comfortable, we all slept like logs! The location is really special, so quiet and an easy walk to the coastal path and a short drive to Mothecombe beach which is beautiful, sandy and perfect for families. We all had a great time looking at the surrounding wildlife. So many hares! We also got very excited when a little owl landed in the garden. Jo is a very responsive host, and we wouldn't hesitate in recommending Corner Cottage to other large family groups.

We very much enjoyed our 5 night stay, and consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have found it at such short notice, literally a couple of days between booking and arriving. The apartment was great in almost all respects, I can imagine some people might find the parking a bit challenging, but we always managed to find a space not too far away. Also if you have limited mobility you might also find the location a bit challenging, we are reasonably fit 75 year olds and managed just fine. All in all a great place to stay.

A beautiful apartment! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed everything was. The space felt both cozy and luxurious, with tasteful decor, beautiful sea view, and all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The location was also perfect and nice having the hotel next door. The host was incredibly welcoming and responsive, which made the entire experience smooth and stress-free. We really enjoyed our stay at Thurlstone. The apartment was ideally located on the beach making it easy for easy beach fun for the kids. They went rockpooling, swimming and made sandcastles every day. We enjoyed the views of the sunset while having dinner and drinks on the balcony. The flat was bright and spacious. We felt safe and had a comfortable stay with everything that a family of five would need. Our host was responsive, accommodating and friendly. We would stay again in a heartbeat :)

It was so lovely to arrive ,open the door and be wowed by the place , it was comfortable and clean and Susanne had left some nice treatsfor us .she was available to contact for any questions and very friendly ,i would definately recomend her

A stunning location right in the centre of town, with very high quality accomodation which really makes the most of the position with amazing views of the estuary. Breakfast on the balcony watching the boats go by was a real highlight, and being able to access the water from the carpark made paddle boarding a breeze. Will definitely be back.

Nicki’s apartment at Bigbury on Sea is just great. Well equipped, amazing views and in a beautiful part of Devon. Use of the indoor pool is amazing for kids, especially when the weather is a bit mixed! Nicki gave lots of info and recommendations which were super helpful. I hope to be back at Bigbury soon!

This is the second year we’ve stayed here and we can’t wait to visit again. The apartment is a perfect visiting the surrounding towns and beaches. South Milton beach is literally on your doorstep with great access to the south west coastal path. The outdoor heated pool was lovely for days when the sea was just a little bit too cold and the balconies were ideal for the amazing sunsets.

Very comfortable place with spectacular view over the ocean (the sunset!). Unfortunately we had to shorten our stay and wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the area. The kitchen is well equipped and we were able to make the evening meals at the house which was convenient as we were travelling with a baby.

Great location just a short walk to the sea. Cosy, well-equipped space with everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

A fabulous apartment, sensational view, spotlessly clean and some thoughtful touches on our arrival. Directions and check in arrangements were very clear and hosts followed up after to check in to make sure everything was OK. The 50 steps up to the apartment is slightly daunting, especially after a long cycle ride or coastal path walk ... but the view and immaculate furnishings more than make up for it! The added benefit of a balcony and dedicated parking space added to a perfect stay. Would recommend without hesitation.

The perfect cosy cottage for a weekend away. The location could not be better - right in the heart of the village and with stunning views overlooking the bay. Hermoine and her father Andy were very responsive and helpful. Would really recommend.

Gorgeous apartment, beautifully decorated and perfectly clean. Super comfy bed and lovely spacious bathroom. Great location on the harbour close to nice bars and restaurants and walking distance to Barbican and Plymouth Hoe. Highly recommend.

The location is ideal – just a short stroll into the village, meaning we could pop out for morning pastries or evening meals without worrying about parking. The views from the windows are exactly what you dream of for a Cornish getaway. A truly memorable stay in a charming corner of Cornwall!

We had a really wonderful stay at James & Rebecca’s home. It was clean and comfortable and was situated in such a peaceful setting with an absolutely stunning sea view. What a clean, beautiful cottage in such calm surroundings - we've enjoyed every minute. The cottage was perfect - clean and tidy with stunning nautical decor, we felt right at home the minute we walked in. The view of the sea is much better than described - a highlight for me was sitting in bed drinking my morning coffee watching the waves! The beach is a 2 minute walk away and we had it pretty much to ourselves. Sadly we didn't catch a glimpse of the local dolphins! The garden is full of beautiful flowers - the access is from the road up a path with steps thru the garden. The kitchen had everything we needed in the way of utensils/cutlery/crockery, the bedrooms were clean with fresh bedding, the lounge was well stocked with games/books/dvds which the kids loved. Nick was extremely responsive and proactive, very helpful when I messaged him, and we were very grateful for a bit of flexibility on checkout. Overall a lovely relaxing experience - can't wait to return!! Thank you!

Just back from a fantastic three nights at Paul’s place. The location of the house is fabulous, just 1-2 minutes walk from the beach. It felt very homely and comfortably sleeps 8 Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the sea and beach was sublime. Drinks up in the bar on the top decking at the back of the house in the evening with stunning views was real bonus. There are plenty of games to keep you occupied and we didn’t turn the TV on, not once. A nice spacious kitchen and a dinning room table that sits 8. We walked over to Burgh Island for a lovely meal at The Pilchard. Had a dip in the sea. Played golf at the very friendly and welcoming Bigbury and Thurlestone golf clubs and rounded it all off with a final meal at The Oyster Shack, only 10 minutes drive away.
