Cottage vacation rentals in White Carniola

We stayed in this house for 4 nights, very well stocked with all the essentials and even a little more. Very quiet surroundings where you can do physical activity such as running or biking, and even long walks. Breathtaking landscapes and above all very clean areas like all of Slovenia. We fell in love with this place and will definitely be here when we come back. Thanks to the hosts who have always been active and ready to respond under any circumstances. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for a week in October. Although the outside temperatures were already cooler, the pool was still heated at our request. A service that is not a matter of course. When we no longer needed the pool, we also turned it off ourselves to save electricity to save electricity. Matic was always available and always inquired. Recommended any time.

An extremely good host. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and even received a gift. Flexible check-in was possible. Everything perfect.

OMG OMG, this place is amazing. Completely private in a beautiful area in the hills. This is what hospitality should look like. Nikolina enabled us earlier check in and proactively offered late check out. Everything is clean and there’s lots of stuff to do. We grilled and used the sauna. The breakfast basket is to die for. It’s great for couples but we’re planning on bringing the kids next time as well. We did walks everyday, it’s quiet hilly but managable. Definitely the best place we’ve stayed so far.

We had a wonderful stay at Stiven’s place on the edge of the village. Traveling with our two middle-size dogs, we thoroughly enjoyed the long walks in the area and the lovely trips to nearby attractions. The village’s location is perfect—close to Natural Park Učka and just a short distance from the sea. The house is incredibly cozy and well-equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay. Visiting during winter, we especially loved the amazing fireplace, which kept the space warm and comfortable without any issues.

This house was really beautiful, it felt extra cosy and nice. Everything was new and had a bunch of nice little pretty details inside and outside. The small welness house with the jacuzzi and sauna was so relaxing and also decorated really nice. All in all a beautiful place to stay!

If you’re looking for peace and nature, this place is perfect. The cottage on the farm is spacious, with large bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything was spotless. The hosts are a lovely, kind family who make you feel right at home. For a small extra fee, you can enjoy a delicious breakfast made entirely from fresh, farm-grown ingredients. The area around the farm is stunning, and the house is very close to the famous Postojna Caves and Predjama Castle. Highly recommended!

We couldn't get to the accommodation without a car and taxis were way too expensive. But despite that, Ivona was incredible and refunded us 4 days out of 5 (airbnb did not offer this arrangement). Many thanks, and we hope to come back to meet you and finally enjoy your superb home! I 1000% recommend this host, but have a car!

Very nice cabin in a picturesque area. The view of the mountains is beautiful. My dogs felt right at home and loved being able to run around in the yard. There are hiking trails nearby as well. Ljubljana and Lake Bled were just short drives away. We were able to do lots of exploring! Rudi was very proactive and made sure we had everything we needed. Check in and out were easy. We would love to stay again!

Fantastic location if you want to enjoy peace and a breathtaking view! The pool and outdoor area are absolutely amazing. The house in it or the furniture has come to an end, but did not bother us since we always spent the whole day by the pool! Kitchen and bathroom are newly made and everything was clean! We felt very comfortable here and will definitely come back! Be sure to take remedies against mosquitoes and small flies, as the house is in the middle of nature, they like to come and visit a lot!

We were looking for peace and this is the perfect place. You can walk to the village shops in under 10 minutes. We drove to some wonderful beaches and historic sites and there are so many hiking trails. There is about an acre or so of walled garden/ land to enjoy - so private all behind electric gates. Wow, just wow! We couldn't stop smiling while Dragana showed us the house - it's huge! Build over three stories it offers everything one could ask for. Sadly we only stayed for two nights but loved every second of it. Highly recommended!

Quiet and relaxing place, ideal for recharging your batteries in a beautiful environment. Gregor is very responsive and kind, you can ask him for recommendations in the area, he is not stingy with good advice. Be careful when you come, the GPS takes you through a bad road to reach the house, a sloping path with gravel (complicated by motorbike, especially in rainy weather). Don't hesitate to not take it and instead go through the normal route.

Gaṣ̌per was an incredible host! He recommended local restaurants and stores and was always quick to answer us if we had a question. His cottage is so cozy and located in such a beautiful, peaceful area of Slovenia. We loved making a fire every night and watching the stars on the terrace. It was a good location as you can do day trips to Bled, Ljubljana, Postojna Jama. Our only regret is not staying longer as there are so many beautiful trails around the cottage we never got to explore. Highly recommend his place! 😊

Fantastic location (though own transport probably needed) - the view from the pool terrace was stunning. The cottage was compact but well appointed with most of what we would need for a week's stay. It was lovely to have a small private terrace as it was too hot to sit inside! Vanja was a perfect host - excellent communication before and during the stay and on hand to help, but she gave us complete privacy. Although the pool is shared with other guests, we had it to ourselves most of the time - we guess others were at the beach but we liked the peace and quiet in the hills! Highly recommended - we already are thinking about coming back.

What a spectacular experience in every sense of the word. The hospitality, the scenery, the details in design, construction and functionality, the sights and sounds of nature. I could go on and on. Martin and his dad were so helpful and treated us like long lost friends. The cottage is so charming and warm and cozy. We will always remember our stay at Bistrica Cottage. Just go and experience this little slice of heaven.
