Waterfront Sanctuary

We really enjoyed our stay. Carina went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Enjoyed the little touches, well stocked kitchen, games. Highlight was watching the stars whilst enjoying the warmth of the spa pool. Thank you Carina for letting us into your home. Whangamateau is a beautiful area, with many little walks to enjoy.
A hot tub sits at the edge of a deck, surrounded by a vibrant green lawn. Expansive views of the ocean and rolling hills can be seen in the background, with distant landmasses visible under a clear blue sky.

Whangateau Lodge - Luxury with a Stunning View

JosephineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
The house is situated on top of a hill with a breathtaking view. Our families of 10 adults and 4 children spent four nights at the lodge. The house is like maze. Plenty of space for everyone. It's clean, fresh linen and towels and reliable wifi. The kitchen is very well equipped to cater for large groups. The outdoor BBQ and pizza oven were a bonus. Plenty of things for the kids too i.e. trampoline, table tennis, throwing darts and toys. Great communication from the host Daniel. He sent clear and easy to follow instructions a few days before our arrival. We want to go back again and would definitely recommend this place.

The house was beautiful and lovely location. Maris was great at communicating with clear instructions for check in, things to do in the area, how everything worked in the house and made us feel right at home. The house was tidy, clean and warming. The sauna is an awesome addition! Can’t wait to go back!

Pine Tree Cottage Matakana

RachaelRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Absolutely stunning property with views over the Whangateau harbour to Omaha. Spotlessly clean accommodation in a quiet and private location. The beds were so comfortable, and there was everything we needed for our break, including beach towels and an amazing welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, butter and eggs, as well as homemade preserves and biscuits. The property was next door to the owner’s home, but was still very private. Maxine was really friendly, and was quick to respond to questions as well as suggesting local places to visit. There was a wide range of excellent cafes and restaurants nearby, and the Matakana farmer’s market is well worth a visit. We had great food at the Matakana Market Kitchen and the Sawmill brewery. Lots of beautiful beaches a short drive away. We would love to stay again if we’re in the area.

We were only here for one night but we had a lovely stay at The Chapel. It’s a warm, comfortable place in a peaceful street, right across from the general store! Nice and spacious for our group of 6 adults and 3 babies. Would happily stay again
