we had a great stay here for mums 70th with the 4 grandchildren. a large property that felt like home. we enjoyed bennetts and the tavern markets but accidentally went to the wrong sand dunes (thanks to Googlemaps. i should have read Tins local instructions instead). I was pleasantly surprised that there was a double oven. this meant we were able to have dinner in the house on the first night. the girls loved the spa and plentiful toys in their room. the baby had his portacot set up in the walk in wardrobe so he didnt wake the others. mum said it was the best birthday ever. highly likely we will be back next year!

Ron's Batch (guest house) was a great stay for 2 days. The open floor plan and intimate space were perfect for our family of 4 (9 & 6 yr. kids). The location is slightly off the beaten path, but the roads were easy to navigate, and it's a beautiful slice of the northern landscape. We loved interacting will all the livestock on the property and watching the chickens, sheep, and Taka (their friendly dog) run around. Ron was a very gracious host and offered to guide us through his vegetable garden and avocado orchard, sharing his knowledge of living off the land. The Waipu area is easily accessible, and we highly recommend exploring Waipu Cove and Caves!

This was the perfect place for our family reunion of 14 people including kids to stay. The property has a great space in the kitchen, dining and living area to hang out and beautiful comfortable rooms for all of us. It was stunning to wake up to a view of the ocean each morning. Having the 2 large fridges between the butler pantry and kitchen was extremely helpful. Plus the sleepout is a great additional space to use too. We loved being able to easily walk to the beach and explore the rock pools, some of us even braving the ocean coolness to swim. Alan was a great host, always responsive and helpful, thank you! We loved it there.

Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.

We had a wonderful weekend away at Nikki’s classic kiwi bach! The location is so beautiful, and it was great to be right on the waterfront. The Bach is lovely and had everything we needed for a great stay. I only wish that we could have stayed longer! Nikki is a friendly, helpful and responsive host. Hopefully we will get to come back again one day!

Beautiful home, ocean views from all rooms, loved the indoor/outdoor living. Close to the beach, however would recommend driving down to beach to avoid a steep walk home. Close to a great hike and close to a cute small town. Larger grocery 15 min away. Good food nearby as well. House next door had bees which didn’t bother us but if you are allergic, might be something to think about. Little windy at times but we didn’t mind. Deck was superb. Smelled clean, was clean. Beds were super comfortable and amenities were great. Would absolutely recommend and go back.

Me and my family loved staying at this place! The host was helpful and responsive and the place was soo beautiful! The views of Mt Manaia in the morning to the spa pool at night really made us feel relaxed and made our time there so special😌 my daughter had heaps of room to play thanks to the spaciousness and as it’s close to the beach was the perfect way to spend a nice time away together. 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be back!

Very private with lovely bush surrounding. Very friendly ducks. Well equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed to have a relaxing stay with our family of 5. Host was always available as well as the neighbour who helped clear the blocked driveway from a fallen tree due to cyclone Tam. It was an eventful stay but we enjoyed every minute of it and would definitely stay there again.

I cannot say enough about how beautiful Gill's home is. The surroundings are so beautiful, short drive into town where you can find everything your looking for. Gill is such a wonderful and kind host, if you have a chance to visit her home, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for making my son's wedding so special, so lucky to have met such a amazing woman.
