Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Weymouth and Portland District

Our stay at Knap House went perfectly. The house was spacious and beautifully decorated, with lovely little touches like fresh milk in the fridge and a cake! It was great space for the number of people we had staying (5) and could have easily accommodated more. It was also close enough to town that when we left we had all of Weymouth on our doorstep. Rachel was a great host, getting in touch with clear instructions before we arrived and clearly being on hand in case we needed her. Overall an excellent stay and would really recommend

We have just returned from Caroline’s beautiful cottage. It was everything we wished for and more. The cottage had everything we needed, the beds were extremely comfortable and the cottage was exceptionally clean. The surrounding area was very quaint and pretty and there was lots to explore in the area and a bit beyond. We spent NYE at Durdle Door, an hours drive away but well worth it. Would highly recommend Caroline’s cottage and our dog loved it too.

Just come back from Mistletoe Farm after celebrating a Hen weekend there. We all could not fault the hosts, they were incredible & always checking if we needed anything, so helpful throughout the whole stay. Mistletoe Farm is beautiful & so peaceful. Plenty to do within the property. We all especially loved the pool/hot tub & also the karaoke machine was a big hit. It really is the perfect place either for celebrating a special occasion or a family weekend. We all enjoyed our stay & said it is a place we would love to go back to. Thank you again to the amazing hosts. Would highly recommend this air b&b 😊

The house was a perfect location for us as a family. We regularly visit Swanage and this is now the closest to town we have stayed. You would not think in less than 5 minutes you would be in town due to how quiet it was. House was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for a family of 5. If we needed Anne we knew we could have messaged. We managed to find parking not far from the house so this was also no issue for us. Will look again at staying here as we can not fault it at all. 5*

We had an amazing stay at Matthew’s house for my best friends hen do. The house was beautiful, great location and Matthew was very responsive. Would definitely recommend and return to this house!

We had a great stay. The house is fabulous: it's in great condition, very clean and lots of space even with 8 of us. Plus so nice to have a sea view from the living room. The garden is especially lovely, and we again enjoyed sitting at the top and looking over to the sea. Communication was really good and check in via a lockbox was very easy. The house is a fairly short walk into town and we loved Lyme Regis. Would 100% recommend

We enjoyed our stay at Dave and Pamela's property. We loved that the location was very walkable to the centre of town, off street parking was convenient, and the furnishings were very comfortable. The sunroom and quiet garden were a nice bonus as well! David also provided lots of helpful information on things to do with a just few hours up to a full day excursion.

We had a wonderful couple of days in the annexe which was surrounded by absolutely beautiful countryside. The accommodation was exactly as described. Carol and Derek were perfect hosts.

Absolutely beautiful flat. It was clean and we loved the thought that went into the decor. And there was enough toilet roll! 😆 The hosts were very responsive and amenable. The bar opposite was a bit loud with music but it stopped at 12 and didn't bother us really. Thank you.

Staying at this place was nice: the flat is very cosy, well-furnished, location is marvellous, just few minutes away from the seashore and city centre, though quite enough. All the amenities, incl. washing machine and dishwasher, are at place. In this regard, the flat is suitable for both - short-term and long-term stays (I did the latter and enjoyed it a lot). There could be some complexities with general cleaning (since it's optional and not very cheap), though the hosts are able to accommodate you (by providing e.g. clean bed linen on request). The hosts are responsive and open to help with and advise on anything, which is an additional plus!

Great for a little family holiday. was just off the beach only a few minutes walk. Apartment had everything we needed. Were able to get an Asda shopping delivery for check in day that really made life easy with little kids. This area of Swanage doesn't seem to have any food delivery places so you'll need to plan ahead and don't be a townie like us and assume you can order pizza on a Sunday night. Obviously this is not the responsibility of the host but thought this would be useful information for future guests as will be the same for other properties in the area.

Lovely property it had all the amenities. Good location. Near the centre of Swanage, about 10 minute walk. Lots of restaurants and shops. Near the beach. There a smart tv with Netflix, YouTube Disney+, everything you have with smart tv.

We’ve just returned from a wonderful long weekend at Michelle’s apartment. Everything was spotless. It’s very well equipped, very comfortable and even more spacious than the photos show. The location is ideal - lots to see and explore in the area and easy walking distance to Poole Quay as well as Hamworthy itself. Communication was excellent and directions were very clear, however, on the day we arrived the path to the steps was all cordoned off by the builders so it took us a while to work out how to get in - Michelle wasn’t to know that. We eventually found our way round via the beach gate. We’d love to return next year and can highly recommend the apartment. Thank you.

Wonderful, just wonderful! My family and I loved our stay in the Sandpearl apartment. Most of all, the view from the living room and the master bed room is just amazing, I could spend hours just watching the sea waves and the beach and listening to the sea... the apartment itself is spotlessly clean and has everything one might need but nothing feels like clutter. The kitchen even included plastic plates and bowls for children, and the living room had a good selection of books and boardgames. The host, Debbie, was very helpful, always responding very quickly. We asked for local recommendations for food on Easter Sunday and got a few options to choose from. The location itself, right at the beach and right in the middle of Weymouth, couldn't be better either. An overall winner that I would highly recommend. Already talking about maybe coming back to this exactly same place again sometime soon!

Anna's place was perfect for our visit to Weymouth. Very welcome and Friendly hosts with a well equipped apartment. Super clean and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Lovely say in the studio, had everything we needed for a short break. The bed was comfy and so was the smaller kids bed. Larger than expected, enough room for all 3 of us to spread out.

What a great find! Well within walking distance to the town center and beach, Matt’s place was the perfect accommodation for our short getaway. The flat was charming; clean, well stocked, and Matt’s guide made check in and out seamless. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Thank you Matt!

I would give 6 stars if I could! The place is even more beautiful than the photos. Every detail is very well thought, we were impressed by the details such as the number of children's books and games. The instructions left by the host are incredibly detailed and helpful. The location is only a few 100 metres from the sea and very close to the centre as well. And free parking at the front of the building!

The apartment is beautifully furnished and is in a lovely part of Lyme. We felt very at home and would love to return one day.
