I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Asp's place. There is a lodge on the same plot, run by Francis who was just an outstanding host - super generous and helpful whenever I needed anything. He also runs a small bar on the plot. Highly would recommend and am sure to return to this beach front paradise!

Big recommendation to stay at Green Zion Garden! It is a great place to relax, directly on the beach, including a nice garden and cosy huts. Ellis is a great host who has made sure that everything is alright. Good vibes, good food, good conversations and a tip: fufu from Mary. Thanks a lot!

We are so happy we stayed at Nana Klaus beach residence. Klaus and Gideon are amazing hosts. Very welcoming and they have always a helping hand. The accommodation was exactly what we expected. It provides generous space and you have a kitchen where you can cook your own food. We had so many fresh coconuts, and even watermelon and papaya from the garden :) We love this place and the people here and we would absolutely recommend to stay here at Nana Klaus!!

A simple sleeping area features a wooden bed with light bedding and a patterned blue coverlet. The blue walls are complemented by curtains in a geometric design, allowing natural light to filter through the slatted window.

We were a group of six people and had such a great time at Ellis’ place. The atmosphere is very special and peaceful and the feeling of being in the jungle, surrounded by nature and hearing the sound of the waves all the time was simply amazing. Ellis prepared wonderful breakfasts and dinners for us and meeting the other guests we all became like a family. It was only a short 1 minute walk to the beach - the coastline is amazing and good for jogging or yoga and there is a restaurant not far away to spent the day. The accommodation was very basic but provided everything we needed. We hope to be back one day.

Where to start? Let's try this: Best airbnb ever! Ellis, now 35, born in a nearby village, became a Rasta at 19 and has not cut his hair since then - unwound it now reaches his knees! He is absolutely one of a kind - and words fail me to write how good-hearted he is and how he cares for his guests. He is vegetarian, and cooks mainly indian-style vegetable curries for his guests. Yup, indian food in Ghana! Coming from a not-so-easy family situation and with no start capital in life, it is absolutely mind-blowing to experience the oasis he has created here - most of it by the work of his own two hands. Including carrying 50 kilo gas bottles more than 12 km along dirt roads just to be able to cook here. He's a real physical (and ethical) powerhouse. There are two compounds - the one on the beach side of the road is smaller and contains the main hut and guest rooms. The one opposite is larger and is planted (by Ellis) with trees and plants, a garden. It also contains the dormitory and Ellis is building a swimming pool and restaurant there - again, by hand. All buildings are constructed of clay on bamboo / wood frames, totally natural and very organic, cheerfully painted and pleasant to behold and be in. There is so much more I would like to write, but I'll stop here with the HEARTFELT recommendation: Come and experience this amazing place and host for yourselves!
