A great place to stay. We were visiting family and revisiting places from our past. Beautiful location, with amazing view. Can have a daily walk around the lake if you wish. Great private car parking space round the back which is invaluable in the area. Great for visiting a variety of areas such as Rochdale, Todmorden, Hebden Bridge and even further to Manchester or Bradford/Leeds. Or if you want to just stay put it’s a comfy place to stay with good Wi-Fi. We had a lovely pre Christmas stay!

We had a great stay here! The apartment was immaculate and the location was lovely along the docks. Syed was a fantastic host - extremely approachable and helpful with great recommendations for the local area and readily available to address any queries / issues. Looking forward to staying here again if we return to explore more of Yorkshire!

The airbnb was beautiful and airy. Had such a lovely time exploring the local area too. Chris was a fantastic host and went out of his way to help us! We would love to come back in the future to stay again. The actual airbnb was in a great location as we were able to go down to Peak District for some hikes (around 30 mins drive) and also just walk around nearby. Overall a fantastic experience at this airbnb and with both the hosts.

Firstly I like to thank emma for how accommodating you've been during our say. You couldn't do enough for us. and it didn't go unnoticed. we'd love to come back once the play barn has had its makeover. my only suggestion would be you get a pop up gazebo for over the hottub. With this coming at a additional cost and not been able to use it during the first night £60 seemed a little steep for the rental. But i do appreciate you don't control the weather. A pop up gazebo would have meant we could have used it both days. p.s thank you for posting back the things my kids left. buying them easter eggs and marshmallows for the fire pit. thank you

The cottage is well equipped with beautiful furnishings. Each bedroom has its own bathroom but the shower can be accessed by all. The spiral staircase is tight and the outside one is metal too - I wouldn't recommend it if you have limited mobility. With 4 dogs needing someone with them all the time we didn't use the upstairs lounge at all - a shame as it looked comfy -as we all wanted to be together. This meant we pretty much lived in the kitchen area but there isn't enough comfy seating for everyone. Perhaps without the stunning Christmas tree an extra easy chair or 2 could be added in. There were plenty of towels and the beds were super comfy. Slept like a log. Kitchen had all the equipment needed. The setting is amazing with many walks on the doorstep of every type- fields, woods and moors. Vicky and Johnny are great hosts. The only negative was the listed charges for breakages which seemed petty and grated considering the rental price, £5 for a glass up to £9 (?£12) for a plate.

The place was exactly what was described in the ad. It was a cosy, lovely, neat, and relaxing place with all you need, which made you feel like home. It was not far from Halifax, Shibden Hall, the Piece Hall, and Morrisons. Definitely a place to return to. Ryan was very helpful and replied rapidly.
