Family-friendly vacation rentals in West Didsbury

What a fab house this is. We stayed for 6 weeks and did not want to leave. Jo was always on hand if we needed anything but the house is so well set up that we rarely did. The location is fab on a quiet back street but a COOP, Indian and nice bar all within a few mins walk. The house is really well presented and has everything you’d need for a short or longer stay. The hot tub is a great addition and the garden feels really private. All the bedrooms are a great size and perfect for couples. I can’t rate this place highly enough! Full 5 stars from us!

Beautiful house with home from home comforts in a lovely well kept residential area. Lots to keep us entertained… hot tub, pool, arcade games, darts, swing ball and lots of board games, which brought back childhood memories… hadn’t seen some of the games in years! And also some newer games which we hadn’t seen before. Everything was in the house as we were expecting. We were very lucky with the weather, so spent lots of time exploring local areas too. Lytham and Lytham St Anne’s are lovely… not as busy as Blackpool. Son and daughter explored Blackpool and Blackpool zoo. Model village near the zoo is worth a visit too. All are about 15-20 minutes drive. The Grapes in Wrea (about 5 mins from the house) does lovely bar food and welcomes dogs… treats, bowls and water provided.

We were visiting family nearby and this was an ideal place to stay. It's a great location, looking out towards the dunes, 2 minute walk to the beach. Lynne was so lovely and helpful, would stay here again!

Had a lovely long weekend in Clawdd Offa Farm. Photos of the property were plentiful and accurate and communication with Ben was easy. The house itself is comfortable and well kitted out with some lovely touches. The tranquil location and the hot tub really made our college reunion trip special. And there was a fab little welcome basket on arrival. Definitely recommend!

Overall it was fantastic and would recommend staying here for the immediate surroundings. We had fantastic weather for April so we could sit out on the patio and enjoy the view and the kids enjoyed the garden which was big enough to play football and rounders in. The only nitpick we had were the towels provided were very hard and scratchy and after using a lovely bath or shower the towels were not nice to use. So maybe bring your own in case they are not replaced soon. Although this did not affect us as the weather was great. If it did rain a lot and you were stuck in the downstairs lounge or dining area has no view of the lovely lake you can see from outside. There are views from upstairs main bedroom windows though.

Spacious, great amenities, close to the Wintergarden and beach. clean and quiet. There are steep steps to get inside and the shoer/tub is high. Not a problem for us but would be if you have mobility issues.

Excellent stay with our two toddlers (3 and 1). Great little place that is bigger than it seems on the photos! Our kids loved seeing the animals roaming around. Perfeclty located for alton towers too!

We had an emergency at our house due to some building work and found mikes place on here. It was a short notice weekday booking yet everything was perfect. So thankful for all the little well thought through extras like tea, milk, juice etc. The flat is gorgeous and the garden is beautiful with a lovely view of the hills. We only live down the road but we'd be tempted to book again just to stay somewhere so lovely. Thank you so much mike.

Jane's property was in a fab location for our weekend we were able to do both the countryside and the city. The immediate area is lovely and quiet and having pub shop and station within walking distance was brilliant. The garden made the weekend a pleasure because of fab weather. All instructions were really helpful .

I can sum up my stay with Jennie in one sentence: Professionalism and empathy at every level! The apartment and location were great, but the service made all the difference. From the very beginning of planning my trip, I got in touch with Jennie, and she always responded promptly, providing detailed information and showing genuine care for every aspect. Even when an unexpected issue arose, she was incredibly proactive, immediately offering a solution, following up on everything remotely, and later making sure everything had been fully resolved. For anyone planning to visit Manchester and looking for a pleasant place to stay with a polite, professional, and caring host, I highly recommend her!

Richard’s place was perfect for a long weekend family getaway. The house is cosy and welcoming, with everything you need. The location is a great base to explore the surrounding countryside and in easy walking distance of several pubs and cafes in the centre of Delph. We would more than happily stay here again in the future.

We had a great stay, the house is spacious, clean and comfortable. Lovely secluded back garden to look out on from the living room. Beds comfy, little touches provided like extra blankets, soap stuff in bathroom etc. Really appreciated Simon's flexibility on check in time. Would stay there again.

Fantastic flat, smack in the middle of action. The Northern Quarter is fun! So many restaurants, cafes, shops. We walked to Etihad for a game and walked back—an amazing experience. The flat is stylish, clever, comfortable, and very clean. Paula is an excellent communicator. A wonderful stay.

What a cute place! Our family had a wonderful time at Hywel's. Our twin girls had a blast playing with all the toys and reading the books. We all slept beautifully and cooked delicious dinners in the family-friendly kitchen.

This was our second time at Phils, first time to celebrate my 70th second time for my husbands 75th. When I asked my family where they wanted to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday it was Phils place. Its perfect for our multi-generational family, amples of space and the pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. We all had the best time and we made lots of memories. Fantastic luxury cottage. Ideal for exploring the Peak District. Great hosts and property for two little children to explore!

We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely cottage. The space is great and as an extra bonus, you get to use a heated pool and brilliant games room. We went early Jan and there was loads of snow, as well as pretty cold temperatures, but the house warmed up very quickly and we were always more than comfortable. The property is close enough to Bakewell for a short drive or taxi ride, should you want to venture into town. We're thinking about going back in the summer.

What a wonderful stay at Manor Farm. The house was beautiful, well maintained, extremely spacious and very comfortable. The surrounding countryside was stunning, with great food being served in nearby pubs and plenty of places to visit. Great space for youngsters too, with the wildlife - baby rabbits, sheep and birds and of course the swimming pool and games room, all of which they loved. Thanks to the hosts for their welcome and hospitable atmosphere.

Great value for money. Can't stress enough how friendly and reliable the staff were. We had a lovely week stay, the house was clean, the beds were comfy and the scenery was perfect. We were informed of the booking system for the swimming pool and games room, so you could have the room to yourself which was great. The pool was clean, the games room was kept tidy and the house surroundings were really lovely to walk around. You can tell the grounds were well maintained and kept in good shape as the workers never stopped, but were always so friendly. This property is perfect for bike riders, walkers and pub crawlers. You couldn't get bored.

We had a fantastic break. 2 families with kids of different ages and the dogs of course. There was more than enough space for all of us, and the house was kitted out perfectly. We absolutely loved the swim spa and hot tub. We would definitely book the house again.

This little house is so cosy with the wood burner and everything you need for a getaway in the country. Watch the kestrels hunt through the window and make friends with the goats and chickens. Wonderful little brook and woods to explore and a wee paddle around the lake as dear ran past was such a treat. This is on a farm and not a palace but if you want a private getaway on a farm with access to beautiful countryside - this does the job perfectly.
