A 100-year old, 5 bedroom, mountain top farm house

KerriRating, 5 stars12 months ago
A group of us got together to spread my mom’s ashes in Diana. Balli Farm was the perfect place to relax at night while getting to attend the Woodchoppers Festival in Webster Springs as well as visit family in the area. It’s remote, stop in Webster Springs for groceries, Holly River Groceries has only the bare min. Have a meal at the Cookhouse at the state park during your stay the food is great. We loved waking to the turkeys, cows, deer and rabbits to greet us on the porch. That’s where we spent most of our stay at the home. Great way to disconnect (there is a cell tower next to the property, but nothing on the way to the property) and get closer to heaven.

Gauley River Getaway

VenuRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
I recently stayed at this riverfront home and truly enjoyed the peaceful setting and stunning river views. Waking up to the sound of the water and sipping coffee while looking out over the river was a highlight of the trip. The home itself is older and shows its age in places — some of the furnishings and fixtures could use updating, and there are a few quirks typical of an older property. However, it was clean, and everything functioned as expected. If you’re looking for modern luxury, this might not be the place, but if you’re after charm, serenity, and a beautiful natural setting, it delivers. Overall, a great stay for those who value location and views over modern interiors. I’d recommend it for a relaxing getaway.

The Guest House-Lovely & Peaceful

MariaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Lovely house with the unique atmosphere. Dawn is a wonderful host. Dollar General is very close but we preferred to drive to Walmart. Richwood is a mixture of nice restored houses and abandoned homes on the Main Street. Nice easy trail alongside North Fork Cherry Highway behind the ranger’s station was perfect for my mom.

This was an amazing place. We made a trip to Richwood to visit the place our family is from. Staying at Susan's place was like Richwood was home. It made our visit one of the best trips we have made in years. We will back with the rest of our family this fall.

Cabin #2 A-Frame Artists Retreat

LeLeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I would like to preface by saying that this location was perfect. We had everything we needed right in the middle of the appalachian mountains. We loved everything about our experience. The following are just some observations and notes from an experienced travel planner. Camp Holly has a lot of work to do. It looks like in one point of time, a lot of love went into the place and the funds were allocated to do so. Keep going. A lot of money was wasted on glamping tents that are now absolutely destroyed. They are not meant to be all weather. I do not feel like the upkeep of the property can be handled with one person, you need a team of people. That is too much on one person. This place has so much potential. The location is perfect, excluded and private. Everyone was so nice. Always checked if we needed anything. Super helpful. Wifi was a struggle the first day working from the cabin but that was fixed. 10/10 I would stay as often as I could. So Peaceful. The diner was YUM!

Beautiful custom built A-Frame - #1 Cabin Bela

EvaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Despite renting this cabin in the dead of winter, leading to frozen pipes and being buried in snow, this stay was just what I needed to get away for a little while with my dog. Xavier notified me in advance of the pipes and there being no water, but made it work by providing ample drinking and flushing water. The mini split heater and an electric heater kept the cabin comfortable, but the wood stove cabin probably would have been more ideal in this weather. The family who lives near the property was extremely attentive to my needs and made me feel welcomed and safe. Bonus points for adorable goats, chickens, and cats on the property. I hope to come back in better weather to enjoy the trail and lake.
