Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Wayne County

We are 83 and we just packed and moved our household from our beloved house in Rushville. We were exhausted and then we had one of our contractors not show up. We were devastated and sad but we had to move on to our home in Florida. Jamie was professional and so helpful. Jamie’s house is just beautiful. Everything you could need or want has been provided. We loved this small town and the lovely park that is just a few steps away. It is a beautiful place to walk your dog or to just enjoy with your kids or just relax yourself. If you stay here you won’t regret it. It was one of our favorite places to stay and we have stayed many many places in the last few years!! You can swing on the wonderful front porch and watch the cars go by on state road 40. It was the Old National Road that crossed across the USA marking a path for the wagon trains with a “corduroy road” made of logs. I can just imagine pioneers bouncing up and down as they traveled from east to west on that rough surface.

Beautiful country home close to Millet! Had a volleyball Mom’s weekend, and having 5 bedrooms was wonderful so the senior mom’s could spend the weekend together. The beds were very comfortable, and all slept well. Super charming home :)

I have to say the beds were extremely comfortable and it’s such a nice little retreat near the college campus! I would go back again.

Better than a hotel in the area, plenty of space, 2.5 baths, yard for dogs, thankful for this space while visiting in Oxford.

We stayed in Jennifer’s house while visiting our son at Miami. It was the perfect home away from home. The inside was incredibly clean and cozy. There were also lots of extra touches that we appreciated - coffee, razors, cotton balls & Qtips, etc. The house backs up to a wooded hill, with a small fenced in area in the back. We’ll bring our dogs next time! The road it is located on is narrow and does not have sidewalks, so it’s not really walkable. However, it’s only a 2-3 minute drive to campus and uptown, so we didn’t mind at all. We would definitely book this house again when in Oxford!

The house was small but nice and clean and well kept. There were lots of little things there like hand soap and clean towels. Even a Brita water filter in the fridge. I would definitely stay here again.

Mara is a great communicator, providing detailed instructions about the house as well as suggestions for local restaurants, activities and places to walk our pup. The house was great home base for our visit to see family in Richmond. We had everything we needed and the house was comfortable and very cute. We thought it was a great value and would be happy to stay again.

It was great! We braved a cold winter night with only the propane heater (which we didn't keep on while we were sleeping, for safety) and a ton of blankets, and it worked out. Not sure we'd recommend that to everyone - we knew what we were getting into – but this is a lovely place, and Alexander was super communicative about what to expect. Thank you!

My multigenerational family of 8 wanted a comfortable place to gather for a reunion and graduation celebration, and we found it in this cozy house. Tastefully appointed, generously supplied kitchen and bathrooms, and good gathering spaces made this a great choice. Staci was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We loved our three nights in this cozy house.

Roman’s place was close to many dining locations and very well furnished. The beds were super comfy and perfect sheets. We also really enjoyed the pool table and the chance to be able to visit and hang out in that room with ample seating. The outside fenced in area was a plus! The keurig coffee pot was also so nice to have. Thank you!

Great place to stay and a great host

The lake house was a great place to stay, at first very simple looking, but inside was a surprise with a large living room and plenty of space. The hosts were very good with communication and responsive with answers to questions. Amenities inside were excellent and provided a great experience.

Such an amazing host and was quick with responding to any questions we had! His place was clean and we felt at home. Highly recommend staying at Adam’s place when you’re in town!

Amazing stay! Photos and description didn’t do this place justice! Cedric is very involved, reaches out through your stay to ensure you have everything you need, and if there’s anything you need or want, he’s willing to go out and get it himself and provide. Great host. Place was well lit at night so walking my dog was nice, I can see him well, and see our surroundings, without the lights intruding in while I slept. Provided spare dog bags and even a big scooper to make everything easier. Would definitely love to stay again!

Jennifer's home is the epitome of quaint farmhouse. Her beautiful home, the perfectly placed pictures, comfy beds, sitting on the deck looking at the stars, my kids loved the playhouse and running in the open spaces. She thought of everything we would need and then went the extra mile!

We stayed here for two nights felt so at home we didn’t wanna leave. Nice private place no one messing with us and they had 3 cats that loved attention and were so friendly we loved it here wish I could give more than a 5 star review

very private and quiet makes for a peaceful get away!

This was just what we were looking for. Mainly a place with a spa, some place NOT in the middle of many other houses. The house has other tenants connected to the house, but this was never a problem. We love that the spa was INSIDE, as the days we were there, it was cold outside! We love the shared backyard; we never saw anyone else outside. We did see five deer the field behind the fenced in yard! The area is peaceful. And though it's "in the country", it was never too far from where we needed to be. The drive was peaceful and traffic-free. The house itself was SUPER clean! It had everything we needed. We couldn't figure out how to get the tv in the back spa room to work, but we enjoyed being able to log into streaming on the reg tv in the living room. We may have to come back next year, and if so, and if it's available, we'd definitely stay here again! Also, we had an issue with our car and she was able to recommend a reputable mechanic in the area!

Wonderful little getaway! We went for the Airbnb itself, and really enjoyed the arcade, hot tub, smart TV, snack bar, popcorn machine (which has directions printed on it in case you don't know how to operate one), and spent a lot of time making fun recipes in the kitchen. There was also a well-stocked Keurig coffee bar, filled ice trays in the freezer, and plenty of cooking and baking tools. The decorations and furniture are very fun and colorful. The outdoor hot tub was fantastic! (Even though the outside temperature dropped below freezing during our stay.) The beds were very comfortable, and there were extra blankets and pillows to go around. And lots of little lamps and night lights around if you want them. There was also a lovely little vanity in the master bedroom that was a pleasant surprise. Sean was extremely responsive, and responded immediately any time we had a question about something. 11/10 would recommend, and maybe even go again!

The place was immaculate. Very clean and homely. Enjoyed the hot tub. Great peaceful time.

We have family nearby and came to Indiana for the Christmas holiday. Staci’s place was perfect for our family. There was lots of room and the bonus is that you allow pets. We don’t travel anywhere without our poodle and we are always looking for pet friendly accommodations. The house was very well appointed with everything we would need. I really appreciate when hosts provide plenty of towels and the little extras in the bathrooms like qtips, etc. The house was decorated for the holiday which was a nice touch. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back! We would love to be able to come back in warmer weather so we could take advantage of the lovely backyard!
