We had a lovely stay at this private and peaceful place. The surrounds were simply stunning and it was great to be able to enjoy the outdoors undercover on the deck - even when it was raining. Also very fortunate to have been able to bring our dog with us.

The place is totally beautiful and suitable for a nice getaway from a busy city life. It’s peaceful and plenty of outdoor chilling area. The interior is tastefully decorated with personal touches. And Dale is so lovely to communicate throughout and understanding of our sudden change of situation. It’s hard to find such lovely hosts in Airbnb sometimes, so we are lucky to have met her!

Everything about this property is fantastic. It’s our go to place for every judge that we have adjudicating our competition.

This venue was exactly what we were after. It is rustic, and cozy, and it was what we were expecting. It is dog friendly, which was great because we took our German shepherd. The bathroom is spacious and well set up. We kept our luggage there as well. The kitchenette had everything we needed: jug, microwave, electric frying pan, and outside at the wine bar a weber BBQ and an air fryer. Pete was fantastic and stocked the fridge with bacon, eggs, bread and butter, and a bottle of wine. It was incredibly thoughtful and generous of him, and we were delighted to make bacon and egg butties one cold morning! Pete also left a bag of dog treats which our girl would've devoured except she has a tightly controlled diet due to allergies. Again though, so incredibly thoughtful! Pete had also set up the brazier ready for a fire, with plenty of wood. We had two lovely evenings outside by the fire! Pete is a kind and thoughtful host, and so helpful! Would highly recommend.

Lovely staying at Brenda’s cottage. Cosy and clean inside, close to the centre of town with the cable car and Botanic gardens just minutes away. Helpful guide inside the cottage with local recommendations. Brenda was very friendly and had everything set up for me to walk straight in given my arrival late in the evening! The pictures do not do this place justice, the views are absolutely amazing! The place was squeaky clean and so comfortable. I stayed for 4 weeks and it had everything I needed to cook and live. The driveway and road that it is off of is very steep, so be mindful if you do not have a vehicle. But it is very doable for an active person due to the bus stop at the bottom of the hill. Awesome place, thanks so much.

Helen is an amazing host, she friendly and went above and beyond for me. Made sure I had everything I needed and was there if I needed anything. The home is beautiful and unique, it’s super close to all shops/restaurants etc but still very quiet. This was my second time staying here and I will always choose Helen’s cottage whenever I’m in Masterton overnight.

This is a great place to try out a tiny home adventure. It has a beautiful plot with an amazing view over the river valley. These deck and living space both share the view with full size folding doors. It is a tiny house so visitors should be ready for that, and it’s an amazing setting. Also very close to wineries and minutes from Havelock North center with plenty of places to eat.

Perfect place to stay for the weekend - clean and cosy. Great location - just a quick walk into Newtown. Would stay again and recommend to others.

I love this place! It's perfect if you are doing through and need a place to stay or if (like me) you want to visit the area but have a peaceful private end to your day. It's quiet here, green and with no TV you get to actually spend time together.

Laura's place is really delightful, a true refuge from the city. We loved the thoughtful attention to detail and the design of the apartment. It's extremely private and comfortable and surrounded by bush and birdsong (mostly tui). Everything you could think of is provided including frozen bagels and croissants, and comprehensive kitchen equipment. It will certainly be our first choice for our return visits to Wellington. Parking and turning is fine for a small car like ours but would be more challenging for a large car.

Natalie had thought of everything we would need, and was very accommodating of out dog which sleeps in our ute. Our one night stay felt easy, hassle free, with just what we needed for a light breakfast. I would definitely recommend staying here and will stay again if passing through Bulls.

Such an incredible host and such a great space! Tiny house done right, that’s for sure! Felt much more spacious than you would imagine. Had a remarkable amount of amenities and things provided. It was very comfortable and beautiful.

Honestly the best AirBnb I’ve ever stayed at. Alison and her husband are lovely, as is their place! Very friendly, welcoming, and helpful without being intrusive, and the accommodation itself has everything. This is the quintessential Kiwi bach with a bonus trampoline for the kids and a volleyball net for everyone! We enjoyed the generous outside living space, and there is a covered outside deck for our family dog to stay. The home had everything we needed, was very clean and tidy, and the beds were comfortable. Great location, only a 2-minute drive to the beach, and to the forest for walking and biking tracks. Supermarket is about an 8-minute drive into Foxton.

Thank you for the most wonderful couple of days! The setting was stunning, loved waking up amongst the tui and fantails. We couldn't get over the night sky either - so beautiful! We really enjoyed the opportunity to switch off and be off grid for a little while. Steve was an amazing host, super helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will most definitely be back again :)

Lovely private quiet farm stay - the property is even better than described in the listing! There were so many thoughtful touches and amenities that were lovely surprises like chocolates on arrivals and treats to feed the donkeys. Highly recommend for the experience of bathing under the stars and getting to meet all the animals!
