Our guesthouse is perfectly located at Ohope Beach between Ohiwa Harbour and the South Pacific Ocean - less that 1 minute walk to each. You can hear the ocean while lying in bed :) 'The DogBox' got its name when my dog Cooper (RIP) refused to come into our new house when we built it, preferring to sleep in the guesthouse. Cute and Cosy by the beach

Relax with the whole family at this fully fenced peaceful bach. With plenty of room for kids and the dog to run around. It made up of 3 pods. Kitchenette inside and kitchen bench and bbq outside. It’s basic but very cosy and has everything you need including a fire pit. Sleeps four Adults comfortably and 2+ kids

The view is more beautiful than what you see in the pictures! No TV so you can disconnect fully. Hillary and Rob are amazing and very helpful. it was lovely playing with the dogs too. Don’t forget to take a good bug repellent if you want to spend time outdoors on the lounger. Depending on the season the sandflies and mosquitoes may ruin ur outdoor fun, this is true for all places close to the lake. The bed was super comfortable and we enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much guy!

A tranquil hidden gem. Enjoyed the back garden with tui and kereru swooping overhead in the morning and warm sunshine in the afternoon. A lovely host who helped when needed then left us be. The studio had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Would love to come back to explore the region further.

Me & my partner absolutely LOVED staying here. John & Olivia were great hosts, very friendly, instructions were clear and smooth sailing while checking in & out. The house itself is well kept and we had everything we needed even things we didn’t think of. The location is quite secluded which we loved, nice and peaceful but also not far from town it was perfect, thanks so much to Olivia & John for having us 😊 100% recommend if you’re thinking of staying here!

Perfection…in every way. Great communication and Paul was very responsive and accommodating. The place was a slice of heaven and we will definitely be using it every time we travel to Whakatane. Super close to town, with 180 degree ocean views and very respectful quiet neighbours. 10/10 for anyone looking for an amazing place to relax and unwind.
