We get stunning sunsets right from our living area, clear views of the stars at night and the peaceful serenity of the birds chirping. Just a 5 minute stroll to the Wainui beach access way at the end of the road and a convenient 8 minute drive into Gisborne City. Our place is ideal for families, with a private self contained studio & three bedroom house.

We had a delightful stay at the Woolshed, which had everything we needed for a comfortable getaway. The fenced in area at the side was perfect for a safe enclosure for the dogs, who got extra entertainment watching the sheep. We had a bit of trouble finding the shed in the dark, but once located it was a very easy check in. Located just a 20 minute drive from downtown Gisborne and a 30 minute drive from beautiful Rere falls, we had plenty to do and see on our trip. The stay is on an active farm, so not exceptionally private, and my dogs were very curious to meet the other dogs on the property. Overall though it was very peaceful and quiet and we would happily return if in the area again.

We had a fantastic stay at Anton and Kate’s. The flat was cozy and the stunning beach is only a minute’s walk away. There is a cute little cafe close by too. Anton and Kate were great hosts and provided us with heaps of information about the near by surfing spots and other things to do (we had a bit of bad luck with the weather). We’d definitely come back and visit again!

Such a fabulous stay - thanks! We were so surprised to discover the Christmas tree and decorations which made it feel like our home while we stated. The fish was delicious and the spaces generously soaked up our large family. I think the photos undersell what a beautiful space it is.
