Fantastic spacious property, well maintained and equipped. Great views, safe parking, quiet. Short distance from Picton, excellent for Waikawa Marina, great views of the sound. Wonderful place to stay.

We had an amazing stay at Ben’s house.Its in a great location and has a great fireplace: the beds were very comfortable and loved being able to use the kayaks. The Fejoa tree was enjoyed by the kids

Lovely one night stay. Close to ferry. All that we needed. Easy check in and out. All amenities and some lovely thoughtful personal touches included as extras.

We stayed at Tira Ora over Christmas and was definitely an amazing and very memorable time. We we're treated as part of the family with exceptional hospitality, food and festivities and even received a Christmas present under the tree. The estate is vast, with lots to do and explore and a good get away from civilisation, truly a retreat where one can reconnect with nature and each other. Our only regret is not spending more time here. Much love to the Tira Ora family, you were amazing!

Had a wonderful stay. It’s a truly stunning spot. Being able to drive to the bach, having a mooring and a sandy beach a few minutes walk away made for a really special family holiday.

Wonderful stay in Onapua bay for a long weekend with our four children. Although the weather was wild, wet and windy we had a great stay. Classic New Zealand bach in a spectacular location. Stunning views across the bay, lots of space on the lawn and private jetty. Layout of the property was perfect, a main house / living and kitchen then a seperate ‘wing’ for sleeping. Brent was flawless to deal with and we will definitely come back.

Fantastic, secluded location. Perfect accommodation for us, an extended family group of 9. Well equipped and spacious. The house had great access to the Sound including a mooring for our boat as well as kayaks for use. Inside the house had brilliant entertainment options including table tennis, pool table and games.

Kerry's historic campervans are a unique gem! You'll especially love the view over the Moetapu Bay. The campervans are equipped with everything you need and we had no problems cooking dinner and breakfast. The outdoor shower is also an experience for itsself. Kerry is a truly friendly and accommodating host, he always responded swiftly to our messages.

This Airbnb exceeded our expectations. There was lots of room for the group of us. It had all the appliances and utensils needed in their kitchen. The hosts were great communicators and provided us with all the information we needed to get to the bnb and how to explore the surrounding areas.

An oasis only a bit more than an hour from the ferry. Clean and well-stocked, and a great value to boot! Bedrooms are separated from the living area by a nice hallway so noise isn’t an issue, and the beach is only occupied by a few other houses so feels perfectly deserted! Rebecca was super responsive and we’ll definitely be back…

Absolutely one of the best spots we’ve been. The house is very clean and nicely appointed to the best possible view. The host is very helpful and really went out of way by helping us prepare the clean sheets and linen at the last minute, which really made our day easy. Celia's home well exceeded our expectations. The views were magic, it was very quiet, warm, clean and very comfortable. We appreciated Celia's kind communication. Perfect for a restful break. We went on the mail boat journey from Havelock which was fantastic.

Amazing spot with beautiful setting. Lots to do and see on the property itself and nearby places to go fishing and skiing/donuting if you have your own boat. Even if wind is up there is always a place to find shelter and Tory channel remains pretty flat water. Wes was a great host and very chill! We would love to return

This place is extraordinary and so are the beautiful family that host. We were welcomed, embraced, nurtured and extremely well-fed. We had the extra special treat of being there through Christmas and were warmly included with other guests in the most magnificent celebrations. The walks, animals birdlife and bush are out of this world and I can't recommend a visit enough. Shall return. Thank you beautiful whanau!

Tira Ora Estate is a piece of land or better a whole bay owned by a retired couple,their daughter,her daughter and an ostrich,peakoks,turkeys,cats,horses,dogs,cats,ducks,bees,chickens,butterflies,glowworms and other animals.It is only reachable by a 2 hour ride with the Pelorous Mail boat, in the summer 3 times a week(Wedn.,Sat.,Sun.) and in the winter once a week or by airplane(on the estate owned airfield). It is a haven with powerful mountains surrounding the bay,unique trees,plants,swings,herbs and many things to explore. It has chalets with own bathrooms to stay in and you can either self-cater or let Melissa or her parents treat you with her/their amazing cooking. Have a look at their website too. We had a beautifully relaxing and energising couple of days at Tira Ora. The hosts were super lovely, the place was full of rustic charm, animals and birds everywhere. The rooms were comfortable, home-cooked food was delicious, and the place so captivating, we were sorry to have to leave. Great for families, a real natural treat away from it all.

We had a wonderful family Christmas holiday by the sea. The location is amazing being on Queen Charlotte Sound with beautiful views across Waikawa and the sea. We went fishing from the jetty and very much appreciated the use of the paddle boards and kayak and hot tub. Its one of those places where you don't feel you need to 'go anywhere' but to just stay and relax which I guess is what holidays are for. It was hard to leave this holiday home
