Gorgeous, secluded home moments away from Wabasha. Free WiFi. The house is fully furnished, with two bedrooms, but with room to sleep more. This is a one-of-a-kind property with a view that could only best be described by simply reading our reviews. Located south of Red Wing, between Lake City and Wabasha, in Reads Landing, Minnesota.

HOUSE ON THE RIVER

Home on the Mississippi River. This home does NOT have dock access to the river. There is a boat launch about a 1/2 mile South. The Army corp of Engineers owns our bank so we are unable to clear any trees. A big family room with wood burning fireplace that opens up to a 3 season porch. Wabasha offers Ice fishing, downhill skiing, thrift shops & boutique, Slippery’s Bar & Grill, Home of Grumpy Old Men and the eagle center. State land nearby for hiking. Drive your ATV on county roads legally.

Take the walking path to the beach or head downtown to the Eagle Center. This cottage boasts many different plants in its secluded gardens. Great house. We were here for a wedding at Wood & Co - which was 1.6 miles away. The house was homey and well stocked. Had everything we could ask for. LOVED the front porch - that is where we spent most of our time when we were there. The train was loud and came by more often than I expected - but it gave the place even more ambiance. Just part of the uniqueness of this beautiful home and area. Mary is a great host - we would love to return to this quaint area along the river. Loved it!!

We so enjoyed our stay at this home in Lake City! It was perfect for a girls getaway. The backyard is beautiful with sun and shade options. We walked into town each day for coffee and lunch along the lake. Definitely recommend this home for your stay!
