A small coastal cottage roughly 5 min drive outside the harbour town of Saldanha. The cottage is private but connects to the side of our home. It is literally on the ocean with spectacular views of the bay and harbour boasting 3km of sandy beach, stretching in either direction. The bedrooms are north facing, catching mid day sun. The cottage falls with in a small private home owners estate, is secure and quaint and is perfect for those wanting to spend their days lazing on the beach.

The cabin overlooks the entire bay with the majestic Cederberg mountains in the distance. We stayed for two nights but honestly wished we stayed for more, the place is stunningly beautiful, it really felt like a home away from home albeit within walking distance from the beach, quite literally a few steps over a dune. It was comfortable, modern and spacious! The area around is breathtaking and we even managed to see a few dolphins frolicking nearby! We will definitely come here again!

We had an absolutely amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, Amarentia was incredibly warm, welcoming, and thoughtful — their hospitality really made a difference and added a personal touch to our trip. The town is a small, peaceful gem, perfect for unwinding and taking a break from the fast pace of the CBD. There’s something so refreshing about the slower rhythm and friendly local atmosphere. One of the highlights was definitely waking up to the stunning ocean view each morning — it was so calming and beautiful. We truly felt relaxed and recharged. Would definitely love to come back again!
