For those who want peace, quiet and a few days away from the hustle and bustle, this is the ideal place! With a privileged view over the Douro, barbecue and a pool that reached 29º, what more could we ask for? The house was clean, the air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked smoothly and they left us some treats (more than was even needed) for our breakfast. Thank you! The host was super accessible, friendly and concerned and took us on his boat for a ride on our beautiful Douro River. I highly recommend it!

This house is exactly as described and a perfect peaceful getaway. The view is incredible. The house is well proportioned with three large double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. We had an extra camp bed put up in one room, and there was also a cot in there (although we didn’t use it). Efficient air conditioning and nice kitchen. There isn’t anything else in the area but this suited us just fine! Nearest shop is in Albondega De Fe (10 mins) bur a proper supermarket is in Mogadouro (20 mins).

I have never seen anywhere so beautiful, even in films! The listing cannot capture in just a few photos. It’s a bit tricky to find; worth noting that there are two towns in Portugal called Murça, and some very steep cobbled streets, hard going on a heavily laden motorcycle, but so worth it! Annabella and her team have done an incredible job in creating the most tranquil and rejuvenating accommodation nestled amongst unbeatable natural beauty. Cannot wait to return. Probably one of the good hospitality we had. The house - beautiful, the village - beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and clean, the house is cozy for a group stay, and something in its planning just suited us. Nuno was not only charming and pleasant and inviting, but also flexible, invited us on his own initiative to a wine party in the village, and was also available for any questions. Highly recommend

A beautiful building restoration combining the modern with the old. Quiet, very clean and comfortable. We had a great stay there!

We loved staying here! The views are amazing and the hosts very accommodating. It is an exceptionally rural area, we had to drive 40 minutes to the nearest town for dinner! If you don't want to do that the hosts will prepare food for you. The village is really scenic and I'm sure you could do a lot of nice walking/hiking in the surrounding area. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time. The apartment was spacious and clean. We also really enjoyed the pool, spend an afternoon there looking out over the valley - its beautiful!

highly recommend to visit this wonderful village, friendly neighbourhood and beautiful scenery! if you just visited Lisbon and Porto but missed this area, you Portugal trip will not be complete. The host is the native of the area, he will show you what you can do in this area.

Excellent stay. Everything was perfect. This was our third time visiting Bairro Do Casal.
