It includes the 17th century manor house, a historic pigeon coop topping the half-timbered northern gate, a coach house from 1824, the 16th century barn and its farm lovingly converted as a gite to welcome up to 10 people (all single beds) The 300m2 building has been converted and updated so as to bring you all the comfort you can wish, from a large chimney with open fire to a wi-fi internet connection. It can be rented per week or just for the week end. Ground floor : 2 large reception rooms (each 50m2), facing South. Fitted kitchen and laundry room, bathroom and separate toilet, one bedroom with shower room en suite. Direct access to private gardens 1st floor : 4 bedrooms with single beds (90x200) that can be arranged as double beds, separate shower room and toilet. Independent floor close to public transport

20 minutes from Tours train station (10 minutes by tram + 10 minutes on foot), ideal for visiting the castles. You will have independent access to the upper floor of the house. If you book for 1 or 2 people, access to one room (extra 20 euros if you want both rooms), if you book for 3 or 4 people, access to two rooms. Baby cot and changing table available. All guests are welcome at our place, but there are stairs. For your information, I live on the floor below

Welcome to Refuge d'Azay, a warm house located in a peaceful hamlet of Azay-sur-Cher. Our house is very atypical because it is semi troglodyte . There is a very common feature among cave houses, it is the humidity... it is due to the absorption of small amounts of water continuously. So you have to dehumidify the air and heat up all year. There may also be small particles falling on the floor. There is a courtyard at the front and a large private park on the higher ground for relaxing. The car can be parked nearby.
