Spacious apartment with a view!

This house is gorgeous with beautiful views and beautiful and comfortable accommodations. Our host, Karen, was so thoughtful and friendly, with great recommendations for activities on the island. Our family of seven had the best time staying here at their home, and a great time touring the island for volcanoes and puffins. Everyone in the family agreed that we needed to return here!

Luxury Downtown Apartment

The apartment is really really nice. it seems like it also doubles as a place where Daniel practices as a chiropractor, which means there are extra fancy bits in the entry. The place is literally two blocks from where you get off the ferry, but then again the entire commercial area of the island is all a short walk from the ferry. I would strongly recommend the two bedroom apartment, which we used for an adult couple plus a teenager. There are two minor caveats I should mention. The apartment is on the ground level, so while there are big plate glass windows along one side, you will need to pull down the blinds unless you are an exhibitionist. The apartment had virtually no street noise though, so no worries there. Also, if you are fragrance sensitive, you should ask Daniel to ask his cleaning crew to lay off the strong artificial fragrance sticks, the smell of which nearly knocked us over the first day. Insofar as Daniel is very communicative, I am sure he will oblige. Enjoy!

Jóhanna's apartment was very comfortable, spacious, stylish, and all the amenities of home. You are right in the center of Heimey with plenty to do and eat, parking is easy, there's 2 groceries and a bakery within a 1 minute walk. We loved exploring the island, it's breathtaking in any spot you go. Jóhanna is a great host and communication was quick and friendly. 10/10

Due to a broken water pipe, we were unable to stay at the original booking, but Kari was extremely proactive and contacted us immediately with alternative accommodations that were also great. Kari provided a crib for our youngest, made sure we were taken care of, and was extremely responsive, which we appreciated. Would recommend staying at Kari's listings!

We enjoyed our stay at Jón's rental. The place was spotless and very well-appointed. Fairly roomy for a converted garage, and decorated with many nice touches. Jón was a very responsive host and gave us great restaurant tips. Also, you can see Elephant Rock right from the kitchen window! We would stay again if we return to this lovely island.

The house exceeded my expectations. I think everyone will be satisfied after staying here. The special thing about this house is that its owner must have great taste and love. The house is decorated in a very modern and beautiful way. The most critical thing is that they must have lived here before. There are a lot of appliances, supplies, and decorations in the house. No drawers are empty. It is very similar to home dejavu. It is really worth staying for a few more nights. Like many reviews, this house is also the best place I stayed in Iceland for a week!

When we booked the place we were one of the first customers and there were no feedback yet available at airbnb. First of all Jon has been a good, responsive and very friendly host, who was replying on all our requests prior to arrival. It was easy to find the place, and apartment was very better than we were imagining ourselves. We were feeling like at home, and really enjoyed the place. Thank you Jon!

Perfect accommodation at a stunning location. The island is amazing and peaceful and lava guest house was located in the ‘city centre street’. Very close to the grocery store, restaurant and surrounded by beautiful landscapes. Check in was smoothly with a door code and a list of recommendations. Kitchen was clean and all the basics were there, including tea/coffee, salt, pepper and oil. Thank you for the great stay!

Wonderful stay in this perfect little cabin. Small and cozy but for 2 people was just great, beautiful beautiful setting right outside of town. Perfect to see most amazing northern lights and went on excellent hikes.

Gudjon’s place will be hard to top, for a shared space it was very private, and the guests there were great. Gudjon’s board of recommendations and insider notes were incredibly helpful. We stayed with our 2 year old and she also loved the space (especially the toys 🧸 ) we would highly recommended staying here it’s worth every penny! Thanks again!
