Vacation rentals in Varkaus

Our group of seven spent four nights at Miia's cottage on the shores of Linnansaari National Park. We had an excellent time! The main cottage is on the small side for seven, the three kids were going to sleep in a loft space but with the noise challenges of lofts we elected to have them sleep in the sauna cottage, which has a beautiful sleeping space. We took full advantage of the ping pong table, darts, hot tub and sauna(s). We also rowed over to nearby islands several times (tons of mushrooms growing over there!). There were no other people nearby, really, so it felt very private. The back deck is perfect for lounging and eating meals when the weather is good. Miia helped us find a local fishing guide and gave us other helpful recommendations. We popped south to Savonlinna one day to walk the town and have a meal. All in all, we highly recommend a stay at Miia's!

Such a lovely house and amazing surroundings. We had plenty of snow and a frozen lake: a perfect winter wonderland for christmas. We saw the northern lights on new years eve. The house has everything you need. We didn’t meet the owner, but she was fast to respond to any questions. Highly recommend for quiet nature time with the family!

Kaunis ja tunnelmallinen mökki, jossa hyvä, tilava sauna. Moderneista isoista ikkunoista upeat maisemat järvelle ja öiselle taivaalle. Ympäristö mökin takana oli kuin toisesta todellisuudesta, sillä piha ja viereinen rakennus ovat keskeneräisiä. Koimme pienen ensishokin pihaan saapuessamme. Myös omistajien talo on ihan vieressä. Mökissä tai terassilla ollessa näitä ei kuitenkaan juurikaan näe. Nautimme kovasti olostamme. Ihanaa tunnelmaa luonnon keskellä.

This is an exceptional cottage in a beautiful and private setting. We couldn't see neighbours through the forest and were able to enjoy the lake in peace too. The lake was a good size (not a pond), and joins onto a bigger lake which was great for a rowing boat trip. The cottage itself is not big, but cosy and fine for two people with a pull out sofa and warm at night. It had everything you need, like firewood, candles, matches, repellant, drinking water, basic kitchen supplies (salt, oil, etc.). The sauna (with lake water) and grill were easy to use. The tensile was a novel experience but may be a bit slanted for some sleepers. Great value for the space, privacy and beauty of the place!

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in Sannas Hütte. Die Hütte ist sehr geschmackvoll und mit viel Liebe eingerichtet. Man findet viele tolle Details überall. Dir Sauna war grossartig und man kann sofort danach in den See springen bzw in den Schnee. Die Lage ist ein Traum und wir können einen Aufenthalt dort zu 100% empfehlen!

Dieses Anwesen ist etwas ganz Besonderes. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet, das Grundstück sehr gepflegt. Es gibt den schönen Grillplatz am See, eine großzügige Terrasse und als Highlight eine Sommerküche. Die Sauna hat einen sehr guten Dampf und wir haben es genossen, im See zu schwimmen. Eija ist eine hervorragende Gastgeberin und wir haben uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Wir fahren seit über 30 Jahren nach Finnland und haben etliche mökkis getestet, dieses ist mit eines der besten 🥰
