Our stay at Lugar das Letras was nothing short of magical. This beautifully restored house, once an old school, offers breathtaking views of the surrounding vineyards—a true feast for the eyes. The rooms and bedrooms were incredibly comfortable, thoughtfully designed to make us feel at home. But what made our experience truly unforgettable were Carla and Paula, the two wonderful ladies who took care of every detail. Every morning, they prepared a memorable breakfast for our entire family, filled with warmth and care. Their kindness and hospitality turned our stay into a dream. We can’t wait to return to this little slice of paradise in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Make time to taste the wine that is made right on property, as well as the small local wineries. I personally found these wines tasted better than the big ones because the wines were made with more passion and heart into the art of wine making. Beautiful home, beautiful place and I hope to come back one day. Recommended to not have a large vehicle as the roads can be quite narrow.

A beautifully designed converted village house with high quality furnishings and fittings, set in a very quiet location and with a beautiful garden. The house is very well equipped and comfortable. The location is excellent for the Douro Valley. It exceeded our expectations, and was a wonderful place to stay. We would definitely return!

Fantastic stay in Pedro's home from home, Pedro was very friendly and helpful, and the property was just what we wanted for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, and a great location for us to explore the wonderful north of Portugal. Such a wonderful place and wonderful hosts! It’s remote, too far normally to walk to town, but our hosts did a great job of supplying us with breakfast food and wine, so we were never without the important things. Diana was very good and explained everything to us, in addition to welcoming us when we asked. The house is good for a family or a couple because there is a partition between rooms that takes away a little privacy. The area is pedestrian but it was not difficult to park, although you will have to use a parking meter. In general we liked it and the only thing that I found difficult is that sometimes they lock the gate, so it would be good to have 2 keys, otherwise you always have to be aware that the neighbors don't leave you locked in the gate.

Close to everything, shops, coffee shops , supermarket, parking at the door. The impeccable apartment… I liked it!

We were a group of 3. We travel a lot and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches at Ana's place! We drove from Porto and arrived early and Ana was very flexible about allowing us to leave our bags earlier than the check in time. Of the Airbnbs in Portugal, this was our favorite. Do not expect modern decorations but you can count on many comforts that other Airbnbs do not have. Not only is fresh bread delivered each morning but Ana also stocked her kitchen with fresh fruit, milk, juice, sugar, honey, jams, plenty of coffee pods, and she stocked the refrigerator with cheese, eggs, beer, a bottle of wine. The place is very spacious and could have comfortably accommodated more than 3 people. There are cosy bathrobes in the closets, an extra blanket, slippers and plenty of outlets in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony is so lovely and peaceful. If you come to Pinhao, I highly recommend Ana's place!

Jose came to bring us a hearty breakfast at 9:30 a.m. as planned. Compliments of the house. Croissants, bread and muffins still warm, coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice. I loved my stay at this place.

Excellent location to visit Chaves without being in the city, it is easy to get to and you can access the entire region. The place is comfortable and clean, it has everything, the kitchen is very good, the bed is comfortable and there's plenty of storage space. It is a modern accommodation, you have space to park the car inside the enclosure and a beautiful garden and patio. I recommend it for cultural visits in the area or for hiking, nature and archaeology trails, as there is a lot in the area. Chaves can be reached in 5 minutes. I recommend it.
