Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Vaal River

We stayed at James house twice during our trip to South Africa. The house was even larger and nicer than the photos. We enjoyed the house and would recommend James as a reliable host.

Such a beautiful place. Fully equipped, authentically furnished and a very accommodating host, she went out of her way to make our stay special.

Beautiful view from almost every room, inside is very modern , solar but also Eskom electricity on those rainy days made a big difference. Clean rooms and bathrooms Private and very safe area Few nice hikes inside the estate easily accessed from the house which was great fun Thank you for a lovely stay

A beautiful home, lots of space and safe. This place is great for bigger families. The fire place is a great addition which set a relaxing, warm atmosphere as the fire crackled away.

We felt right at home during our stay - the space was warm, beautifully set up, and had everything we needed, including more than enough blankets to keep us cozy. The hosts were incredibly responsive and made everything so seamless from start to finish. Thank you for such a lovely experience - we’d definitely love to return!

My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay at Susan’s place. The unit had everything we needed - plentiful of space and beds plus it has all the amenities listed Susan was also really responsive during our stay, making sure we felt at home and had everything we need. My friends and I had a wonderful stay. The place was exactly as advertised and Christopher was very responsive when we had any queries. The house is beautiful and the area is peaceful. The only recommendation I have is to maybe have blinds in the rooms for some privacy ;) otherwise we had a lovely time!

Our host was exceptional, going above and beyond to attend to all our needs and ensure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We had a wonderful and very comfortable stay - this property is in the perfect location for touring Clarens and the surrounding areas. We were there for he Titanic Challenge Trail run and felt right at home and had everything we needed in the unit.

Katia is a great host and extremely accommodating and friendly, the space is beautiful and it was pleasantly surprising. Many thoughtful details and very stylish space. Will definitely stay here again

Our stay in Clarens was fantastic! The home features quality linen, well-equipped kitchen essentials (including a Weber grill) and a modern design. The outdoor area offers privacy for braais and enjoying the peaceful night air. It's within walking distance to the charming town square, which hosts various events (there was a market on our second day) and is surrounded by lovely shops and restaurants. The host was responsive and very helpful, making our experience seamless. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!l

Stunning place!

We have stayed at G&T Cottage before and loved coming back. The unit is very spacious and nicely decorated. The kitchen has everything you need for self catering. The large wrap around deck has wonderful views of the mountains and surrounding areas. Location is perfect and walking distance from the centre of town with restaurants and shopping. We can highly recommend staying here.

It was a beautiful and very spacious cottage with beautiful updated appliances. It's extremely clean and in a very peaceful neighborhood. I definitely will be back soon

Lizelle and Frans are fabulous hosts. Always available and offering to assist. The place is situated in what I would call a hidden gem. We will definitely go back.

Exceptional in every possible way . We are a family of 8 from New Zealand 🇳🇿 and stayed at Mini's for 7 nights & words here can not possibly do justice to how wonderful our stay was from start to finish . Mini went out of her way and more to make us feel welcome , always on hand with a smile and advice if needed . Beautiful tranquility of the gardens and max the Labrador made us feel like family . We loved our stay! The house has all the comforts of home, including a washer/drier, dishwasher and back up power. The location is near good restaurants (we loved Champagne Bistro and Valley Bakery), various outdoor activities and hikes. The views are spectacular and the house allowed us a welcome reprieve from busy city life.

We had the most incredible stay at this home in Cathkin. The furnishings are absolutely beautiful—stylish, comfortable, and thoughtfully selected. Every detail has been carefully considered and the home had ever we needed and more. But the real highlight is the view—breathtaking doesn’t even begin to describe it. Whether you’re relaxing on the porch or enjoying a meal inside, the scenery is always spectacular. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful escape with all the comforts of a high-end retreat. We’ll definitely be back!
