2 weeks agoShelley’s cabin was just what we were looking for - private, peaceful, beautiful views, and close to lots of hiking. The cabin itself is quaint, cozy, and very clean with all the amenities listed. Be sure to bring your own lighter, oil, spices, coffee, etc. The king size bed is very comfortable! If you’re looking to get away somewhere quiet in nature, this is the perfect spot. I highly recommend a retreat at the cabin!

2 weeks agoShelley’s cabin made for a great last minute getaway for my wife and I. We got off work late which meant we weren’t able after dark getting to the cabin. Although it was down a long gravel road in a very secluded and scenic location, we had no trouble finding it and settled in pretty quickly. We had a great time in Spruce Pine and the cabin was a great place to sit back and relax once we finished our adventures for the day. Very happy to have WiFi because there was little phone service in the area.

3 weeks agoThis cabin was great for my solo weekend trip. Had everything I needed, it was clean, and Shelley was responsive on check-in and check-out communication. I loved cooking on the grill and enjoying the fire pit in the evening.
I’m always on the hunt for a secluded mountain getaway. In case you are too, I’d consider this location private, but not secluded. I didn’t see or interact with anyone, but there are close-ish neighbors and a campground where you can hear people and barking dogs until the quiet time at 10pm. With that noted. it was a wonderful experience and I’d stay there again.
Check the status of the nearby hiking trails. Many were still closed after Hurricane Helene, but there are tons of beautiful hikes within an hour of driving.
