Pros for this place are the location, the community, the host, and the community out door shower. This house is super close the the beach. It is also right up the street from a super that had just about anything we needed food wise for cooking. We love to cook. It also feels like a nice, safe area. Everyone we talked to who was also staying in hotel Yare was very nice and friendly. There is a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch right next to the house and it was fun to go there and use the wifi and strike up conversations with the other guests. Both Jessie and Marco were very helpful and tried their best to make our stay pleasant and fun.
The cons of the house are that it is the first house in the community so it is right on the parking lot, close to the road. Also it is an older house, made from wood sitting in the jungle. Therefore, it was moldy. I have a pretty serious mold allergy and so this was not the place for me. We searched for newer modern houses for the rest of our trip. The kitchen was lacking for anything but minimal cooking. This was a disappointed for us, we were looking for a place to cook most meals to minimize costs. Lastly although the amenities list says washer and dryer there is not one.

Cocles è una zona costiera con tante spiaggie da visitare spece se amate il surf a qualche km da puerto viejo. La casa si trova in un complesso di casette colorate in legno a bordo strada ( per lo piu i complessi turistici li si somigliano tutti ). La casa che abbiamo avuto era in parte aperta e con le porte delle stanze che si potevano chiudere. La struttura offre " l' essenziale ", in cucina non ci sono tutti gli utensili. È presente ventilatore. No aria condizionata. Wi fi ok. I proprietari sono gentili. La zona è soggetta a frequenti piogge e umiditá. Umidità che in queste case di legno si aperte e senza aria condizionata si sente molto.

We loved this rental! Jessie is incredibly nice and helpful! The house is situated adjacent to another rental property, and all of the staff there are super friendly! We couldn't ask for better hosts. Upon arrival, the previous renters left very late so there was a slight delay in cleaning and Jessie provided us with yummy fruit shakes and delicious appetizers from the very talented cook.
The rooms are clean and the simple kitchen has everything you need! The house is setup Caribbean style, with fan rooms and open air kitchen and porch. We enjoyed laying in hammocks and eating on the porch! We rented bikes right down the street for $6 a day and walked to beautiful beaches closeby. We were very close to the jaguar rescue center. The house is situated nicely outside of town so it's more quiet but still just a bike ride away from lots of things to do in town. Highly recommended this rental :)
