Wakushi House with sea view, authentic, quiet

Florian & AnneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved loved loved our stay at Wakushi house. Rebecca and Amani were so helpful and sweet people to be around and their place is just amazing. It is simply beautiful and very airy which is important on such a hot island. But it was the little details that stood out- fresh flowers, self-colored towels and handmade soap (which you can also purchase as a souvenir). Rebecca was also super helpful to arrange some trips and even took me to her yoga class. This might have been my best Airbnb-find ever!

Ground Floor Villa with Chef & Private Pool

TroyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
My family had a wonderful 4 nights staying at Margo’s property - very private, very large functional bedrooms with fans, air conditioning and private ensuites, plus a separate fully self contained 3rd bedroom. A beautiful pool, 24 hour security onsite, daily house cleaning by Ester. And the dogs were super friendly and great company. If you like football, pack your boots and enjoy a game with the locals on the pitch next door. If you like tapas or just really good food - recommend having dinner at “ To Be” which is approx 1km from Margo’s. Couldn’t find fault with the accommodation or the lovely Margo as a wonderful host, who was available, responsive but also gave us total privacy.
A serene outdoor area is surrounded by lush greenery, featuring a thatched-roof structure and a simple gravel pathway. Sunlight filters through the leaves of tall trees, creating a calming atmosphere. A wooden table with chairs is visible in the background.

The M Villa Zanzibar

JudithRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Our stay in Paje was simply magical, thanks in large part to the stunning villa we had the pleasure of calling home. The villa itself was an absolute dream, beautifully designed with an aesthetic with a traditional Zanzibari charm. Every detail, from the hand-woven textiles to the carefully curated decor, created an ambiance of tranquility and elegance. Sonia and Matteus were the most gracious hosts, always available to assist with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality and birthday decor made us feel instantly welcome. The breakfast spread in the morning was a delightful feast, featuring fresh fruit and a variety of delicious options. The villa's location was perfect, just steps away from the pristine sands of Paje Beach. We spent our days soaking up the sun, and exploring the vibrant local culture. Evenings were spent relaxing on the villa's pool , enjoying the cool breeze. We highly recommend!

Jambiani Residence- Kifaru House

PetrRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My partner and I absolutely loved our stay! The accommodation was clean, modern, and had all the appliances we needed. We were looking for a quiet place and this was it. We basically had the pool to ourselves and Julie was on hand to answer our many questions at the onset. She even provided the first breakfast as well as a huge watermelon and bananas, which was much appreciated. The guards made us feel extra safe, even though it's a very safe area already, and sometimes we got a visit at the pool from the nearby cat or dog, which as animal people we loved. We will most certainly be returning! What a little paradise. (PS Being able to arrange a lift from and to the airport was also really handy.) Thank you so much for a beautiful work-cation/holiday!

Mwendawima Villa - Beach house with private chef

FelixRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Liza and Raphael are great hosts. The house is simply fantastic and you immediately feel at home. The location was perfect for us. It's not so touristy and crowded there. Really pleasant to enjoy the island. Hatibu and his team take great care of you and you feel very well looked after. The food was fresh and delicious every day. The manager Hatibu is always available and fulfills your every wish. For me there is really nothing to complain about. We stayed here for a week with the whole family (6 people) and at the end we really didn't want to leave at all. It is one of those places that you would prefer to keep to yourself. An insider tip. Thank you Liza, Raphael, Hatibu and your team.

Jungle Villa - Pool Villa with Tropical Garden

Florent MagnifiqueRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Jungle villa is the best place to stay in Paje, probably in Zanzibar. Everything comes together to make for a wonderful stay. The pool is a highlight with amazing lights for the best moments at night. Shout out to the detail in the design. A lot of attention went into making this place. The design overall is also quite muted, not a lot of distractions... a focus on doing right the things happening. Jasna is also super responsive and helpful. Make sure to get the bikes out for some good memories around the space. A+ overall.

Studio Apartment in Fumba

This was my third stay with Saidi in Fumba, and just like the first time, it was absolutely fantastic! Saidi is an exceptional host warm, welcoming, and always available to assist with anything needed. His hospitality truly makes you feel at home. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and perfectly located for a peaceful getaway. Whether it’s enjoying the serene surroundings, exploring the local area, or simply relaxing, Fumba is a great escape from the busier parts of Zanzibar. What keeps me coming back is not just the beautiful setting but also Saidi’s genuine kindness and attention to detail. He goes above and beyond to ensure guests have a great experience. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be returning again! Thank you, Saidi, for another memorable visit. See you next time!

Karabai Villa, Matemwe Zanzibar.

ErynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Matamwe and the villa were the highlight of our Zanzibar stay! For some, the remoteness may be a bit startling at the beginning, but this oasis was just what we were looking for with two families coming together for 5 days. The house is impeccable: rooms and beds clean and comfortable; living room large enough for everyone to escape the heat and relax/play games, and the very best part - direct access to the sea from the property (and serving only 4 houses which means you’re likely the only one there). Ali and the staff were helpful in organizing a moto taxi for us to do some food shopping, as well as snorkeling nearby. Being in a small village means not much to do, but we were able to go for some short runs and visit a couple hotels (in walking distance) for an afternoon ice cream/drink This is not the same ambiance that you’ll have in Jambiani, but beautiful even so! We would highly recommend Susan’s home for some rest and relaxation; thank you!

Ku-khaya Zanzibar, cozy apartment in Fumba Town

JuliaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We spent a wonderful few days in Fumba Town with our children! It was very quiet and clean! The apartment and the service of Neema are great! Beautiful surroundings with beautiful park, great pool and the sea is also very welcoming at high tide. Shopping, restaurants all within walking distance through beautiful, shaded parks with lots of plants. Great playground for the children directly opposite the apartment!

Safari House

BrendaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We stayed at Eta's Airbnb last year and came back again because we liked it so much!!! The A/C in the bedrooms is great, I love the location, the decor and little extras are thoughtful and we love that the suite is on the main floor. The only downside this year was, the neighbours upstairs were louder than last year with a screaming toddler who was often up by 5:00 am. The master bedroom had windows facing the courtyard and it was very loud. I would still stay at this suite again though!!! Thanks Romain and Eta... see you next year!!!
A boat is anchored in the calm turquoise waters, with several people visible on board. A single figure is seen wading in the shallow surf, while gentle waves lap at the pristine white sandy shore in the foreground.

SAZANI BUNGALOWS #3

KristaRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This place is amazing! The grounds are beautiful (I found myself often sitting outside taking in the beauty of the space) , the rooms are spacious and the location is prime! The staff is extremely helpful and nice. The internet is good and the bathroom is spacious as well. The location is a short distance from places to eat and access to the beach (~20 min walk or 5 min via motorbike). Also the shared kitchen is great if you’re wanting to cook, very well supplied and spacious. If you’re looking for a solid and peaceful place to stay, this is the place.

Beautiful villa on the outskirts of Stonetown, it comfortably fit 10 people (with shared beds) and it’s about a 15 minute drive from town. Host was very helpful, flexible, and responsive. House is beautiful, with direct beach access and a fully equipped kitchen. I would happily stay again and would recommend it to anyone.

Villa SUNSHINE HOUSE ZANZIBAR -na Alone Beach

StephanRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Very nice place in a prime location right at the beach. Amenities and cleanliness are very good. The terrace, which is just a jump from the Indian Ocean at high tide, is unique. We have not seen any other accommodation in Jambiani that provides such private access to the sea. At low tide, you can still lie down in the existing hot tub😎 There was a power outage twice in the ten days we were on site, but this was promptly picked up by a generator set. Hakuna matata! What made our stay that bit special was Barau, the local manager. He lives in the neighborhood, is always available and a very helpful, friendly and accommodating person. He cares very well for his guests and reliably helps to organize all kinds of tours, whether on land or water. In addition, Barau and his wife Zuhura offer very good authentic food at absolutely affordable prices. So definitely try it!

Villa Jasmine - Beach Front

LatashaRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
If you’re looking for a private beach with white sand and security, this villa is ideal for you. I travel frequently and often book Airbnbs, but this villa truly stands out as the best. It’s incredibly beautiful. The guards, the host, and the staff have all been exceptional. It has exceeded my initial expectations. Calister and her team have been incredibly helpful with everything. The attention to detail and the level of service here make it a remarkable experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a luxurious getaway. I’m definitely re booking once I visit Zanzibar again.

Mama Recho's Villa near Beach with local Cuisine

GáborRating, 5 stars3 months ago
A very well-equipped villa, especially if you keep your eyes open and see the conditions in which the local people live in their immediate surroundings. The locals are friendly and open, only language can be a barrier to making friends. We spent these few days just lazing around, we only went to the beach to go to the beach, to search in the sea, to play football in the sand. There is not a huge selection of restaurants and they are a bit more expensive than the other village we visited, Jambiani. The apartment and the kitchen are well equipped, you can also spend time in the garden, everything is added. We experienced something that we rarely get used to during our travels: the TV was not just a decoration on the wall, it worked, with lots of channels. Adam and Rahel are our two hosts. We found that Adam was there and easily available for us, he uses his phone, he doesn't only respond through the airbnb interface. He was at our disposal regarding power outages and internet problems
An open living space features a wooden couch adorned with colorful cushions. To the left, a small kitchen area is equipped with basic supplies. The room is bathed in natural light filtering through the thatched roof, creating a relaxed atmosphere complemented by greenery outside.

bird watch house in the bird reserve

FeiRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I strongly recommend this place to all nature enthusiasts. This is truly my dream garden and house. As a birdwatcher, waking up in the early morning to the sound of birds is the happiest thing. I was very fortunate to meet Bushbaby and elephant shrew on the day I left, and it's hard to imagine seeing them while just strolling in the garden. Prosper took good care of everything and was very friendly, showing me around and trying out delicious restaurants.Next time I come, I hope to stay for at least a week.
