Summer paradise by Göta Kanal

Gammalrud is a farm, which is located in the northern part of the peninsula, which goes into Lake Viken and is called Vika forests. Here we conduct forestry and lamb production since 1976. Surrounded by the beautiful forest, lake Viken (the highest point of Göta Kanal) and the hospitality of Thord and Ulla, this is your idyllic home away from home. We have renovated the old farm dairy, "Mejeriet", and made it into a nice home that we rent out to guests. The ground floor consists of a hallway, a kitchen suited for 8 persons and a large living room with a cozy fireplace. The living room floor is made of hand-made bricks from the old brickworks in the nearby village Horn. The upper floor consists of one large room with wooden floor and alcoves for 6 persons. At the old canal landing, we have built a large boathouse. Here is a place, not just for boats, but also for gatherings and parties. If you´d like to go fishing you are more than welcome to rent our small boat to try your luck catching pike, perch or any of the other fish in lake Viken. There is also a sauna in the Boathouse. Gammalrud is a farm dating back to the Middle Ages. A full list of previous owners dates back to 1498. In the 1600s, Gammalrud became a manor when the first corp de logi was built by Thord Jönsson Reuterberg. In the 1800s, Gammalrud became part of the Swedish industrial history by one of the owners, Theodor Winborg, also known as “Ättikskungen” , the founder of Winborg´s vinegar and later by his brother in law, Helge Palmqrantz, an inventor and industrialist with machine factories in Stockholm. Both agricultural tools and weapons were made there. A machine gun, designed by Helge Palmqrantz to be part of the defense on Karlsborgs fortress, can be seen at the fortress museum.

Fully renovated cottage with great hilltop views

Välkommen till en nyrenoverad stuga i stugbyn Källebaken, belägen högst upp med en fantastisk utsikt. Tomten har en unik utsiktsplats där man kan umgås och grilla. Skogen som omger tomten för tankarna till en typisk trollskog. I närheten finns: -Minigolfbana inom 100m -Sjöar för fiske eller bad -Tivedens nationalpark -Göta kanal -Höghöjdsbana / Linbana / Klättring -Stavkyrka / Offerkyrka -Rid- och vandringsleder -ICA-butik 500m från stugan -Sune (2021) spelades in i stugbyn Samt mycket mer.

Välkommen till familjen Nilssons lilla stuga. Koppla av med hela familjen i detta fridfulla boende. Extra sovplatser finns i gäststugan. Sjön syns från stugan två badplatser finns inom gångavstånd. Möjlighet att ta med egen båt sjösättningsramp finns i hamnen. Mataffär ca 3km. Många trevliga och fina utflyktsmål i närområdet. Bla. Tivedens nationalpark, Karlsborg, Töreboda, Göta Kanal. Skötsam hund är välkommen. Uteplatsen är inhängnad. 800m från stugan kan man se älg vid skymning.

Ta en paus och varva ner i denna fridfulla oas. Fin sjöutsikt från stugan och ca 300 m till bad och grillplats vid sjön. Cosy cabin only 10 minutes by car from the famous Tivedens National Park. Amazing view to lake Unden, the largest fresh water lake in Tived. Fantastic to swim in when it's warm in the summer. Amazing sunsets and a very peaceful atmosphere. Romantic. The area straight down from the cabin by the water doesn't belong to the property but welcomes respectful visitors.

Nybyggt attefallshus med absolut bästa läget på nordens längsta insjöbad och en av Sveriges finaste stränder. Med promenadstråk, caféer och restauranger är det en plats som har något för alla. Det långgrunda, rena vattnet ligger skyddat i en vik som är perfekt för surfing och kajak. Nära till padelbanor, tennisbanor, minigolf. Inga husdjur tillåtes. Lakan/handduk medtages själv, men kan hyras för 100 kr/person. Tillställningar/partyn undanbedes. Vattenpipor/rökning ej tillåtet!

Vitsands och Djäknesundets vackra badplatser ligger 25 respektive 9 km från stugan. Flertalet naturreservat finns runt knuten. Tivedens nationalpark ligger endast 10 km bort. Tiveden bjuder också på vandrings-, rid- och kanotleder. Från Karlsborg kan man ta en tur med kanalbåten på Göta kanal eller besöka Karlsborgs fästning.

Nyrenoverad året runt-stuga med 2 rum, kök. wc, dusch, och altan. Här bor, upp till, 6 vuxna personer granne med fårhagen och skogen och välkomnas av gårdens båda sällskapliga vallhundar. På fårgården med egen gårdsbutik har man nära till skog och sjö. Tivedens nationalpark, Karlsborgs fästning, Göta kanal, Forsviks bruk mm är några av sevärdheterna inom 30 minuters bilfärd.

Utrolig dejlig hytte, og smukke omgivelser. Der var privatliv, med nem mulighed for at få kontakt til værterne. Det var et skønt ophold, og vi vil klart anbefale dette sted.

Brittmarie en Stig ontvingen ons allervriendelijkst. Kregen uitvoerige uitleg omtrent het huis. Waar werkelijk alles aanwezig was. Ook fietsen een bbq. De bedden waren keurig opgemaakt. Kortom we voelden ons heel welkom. Het uitzicht is geweldig. Helaas hadden we 1 regendag maar konden ons toen vermaken met tv incl.chromecast. Dit adres is een absolute aanrader. Dank aan Brittmarie en Stig.
