The Box At The Beach is our personal escape from the fast pace of JHB life and as such we have created a space with a whole lot of comfort and functionality packed into a small space. Whether for a weekend escape or a work trip we trust you will enjoy it as much as we do. The unit is in a complex on Bellamont Rd which is NOT on the beach but set above Umdloti’s beautiful tidal pool and while it is only about 150m back from the beach it is still 900m by road.

Exactly what we wanted, somewhere to stay that was near the beach, affordable, clean and comfortable. This was better than our expectation. On arrival we were welcomed by the host Liesl who was extremly friendly and warm and made us feel very welcome. The place was super clean, the bed was so comfortable and everything was juts perfect. The host thought of everything from a beach bag we could use to an umbrella if it rained and we were even welcomed with tea, coffee and rusks. We highly recommend this place to stay as its nothing less than amazing and your stay will be perfect, right on the beach and tranquil. A perfect holiday stay.

Shaun and Reenie were super helpful and professional and friendly right from the start. The apartment exceeded our expectations, clean, super tidy, extremely comfortable beds with breath taking views. The only regret we have, is that we did not book for a longer stay. Anything and everything you could possibly need was provided and what a wonderful surprise to find extra ice provided in the freezer. It was a wonderful stay and we were very sad to leave. I would highly recommend this apartment. In one word, perfect. Thank you for a fabulous stay Shaun and Reenie.

Lovely spot in a family oriented beach area. A short walk to a beach that is tightly controlled by security guards. The house has great views of the ocean and we appreciated the gas braai and evening views. The beach is very busy all day and can get crowded. The grounds are set up for families with kids so expect a lot of toddlers and younger teenager.

Amazing little unit only a few steps away from the beach! Well equipped kitchen and nice bedrooms, one even with an AC. We had a great time with our two little kids. Yelin is always available if there is a question or concern. We can recommend the place 100% ! 😊
