When we first opened our spot we were truly over the hills and far away... now the village has grown around us a bit, but the place can still feel pretty secluded. The architect-designed house mixes inside/outside space with plenty of room for family.. Explore wetland, river and the Langeberg mountains. Absolute gem! Was so nice to spend some time disconnected from the busy world. Check-in was a breeze, with clear directions on how to get to the cabin. The cabin was clean, kitchen had everything we needed and we pre-ordered a few bags of wood which were already there once we arrived. Dan was super responsive and helpful with all our queries - we’ll definitely be back soon.

Charmaine and Paul were both super friendly and helpful. The house had everything we needed, including lovely views of the mountain! Very modern and clean, with those of great reading material about what to do in the surrounding areas. Highly recommended.

You can feel the love, care, and passion that Gabriela has poured into creating this magical retreat. Our stay was nothing short of incredible. From the joy of walking up to the labyrinth and witnessing a breathtaking sunset to the pure exhilaration of squealing down the foofy slide—every moment felt special. We loved hiking to the waterfall and rock pools, immersing ourselves in nature’s beauty. Our cozy rondavel felt like a warm hug after each day of adventure. The charm of Frog Mountain extends beyond the landscapes—it’s in the horses grazing peacefully, the cows wandering the fields, and the symphony of beautiful birdsong each morning. Swimming in the river was a refreshing delight, and every corner of this place felt like a gift to the soul. We are deeply grateful

We were enraptured with Michelle's gorgeous cottage. It is beautifully appointed with everything you could possibly need and many wonderful artistic touches, which make it so unique. The bed was so spacious and comfortable The cottage is set in exquisite gardens with stunning scenic views from the front stoep and gave us total privacy. An extra private garden area at the back was a bonus. The leafy village was in a beautiful setting and felt safe and friendly to walk around. We were invited to their New Years eve street party. The highlight of our stay was meeting Michelle, who was warm and welcoming and who went above and beyond to make our stay delightful. All communication with Michelle was easy and helpful. (Even when we had to trouble her re an item we left behind Michelle went out of her way to help resolve this) She booked us in at her nearby restaurant 'Mud modern' for New Years eve, where we were looked after from start to finish. The food was excellent. Thanks again.
