It was my first time staying at Airbnb.I thought I was very lucky to stay at Temma-san and Mika-san's house for the first time!The host, Mika, was very kind and large.It was a good memory that I was able to eat with Mika-san and the children in the large fireplace room.It's like I'm staying at a relative's house.We are very happy to have a relative in Ishikawa Prefecture.I look forward to the opportunity to visit again.

Tomo is a super host. Very interesting, he likes to share things from Japan and the life in Hida and around. Very good advise for us to go at the Onsen nearby. Thanks Tomo The very good side was the snow all around! But it was soooo coooold! We'd like to come back, at another time of the year, and enjoy the main room with normal temperatures!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home! . Tucked away from the main road, the house offers a peaceful and quiet environment. Inside, it’s beautifully decorated—clean, stylish, and thoughtfully designed to ensure comfort and safety. The host was incredibly kind and accommodating. When we arrived at the house, the entire house was clean, and we were impressed by the huge 75" TV, projector as well as the number of amenities that the host has supplied. If I return to Takaoka, I would definitely stay here again. I’ll also be recommending this place to my family and friends visiting the area. A well-deserved five-star experience!

You can watch the rice field and have a view of the mountains covered with snow at the desk. It’s scenic and peaceful at the same time when you have breakfast. Yoko-san and her husband are great hosts and the highlight of the whole experience was definitely the home-made breakfast prepared by them.

What an amazing place - it was the most authentic & unique stay we had during our trip to Japan. The house is huge and has tons of traditional Japanese character. It’s located in a tiny mountain village, with stunning walks on the doorstep. The host Shinji was incredibly welcoming - we booked dinner for our family and it was a brilliant experience. We loved sitting by a traditional hearth and eating locally sourced & freshly prepared dishes. Traditional onsen bath was a cherry on top. Overall a brilliant, quintessential Japan experience - I’d recommended anyone staying here if you can.

This place is located near old religious village where Tateyama-shinko flourished in 17th century. Even though the community is very small, people are kind and open to strangers from outside. I strongly recommend Natsuki's place to anyone who wants to explore old Japanese mystical culture.

I asked the host to extend my stay at the last minute, he offered me this room in a European style (the other I occupied was in the same building in a Japanese style) and made me a gesture of goodwill for this second reservation. This is an old building in the countryside, it can be cold in the room but the beds are sufficiently equipped to counter this problem. There is no shower on site but the host will invite you to take you to the nearby onsen. Ideal for those wanting to visit the area and being ready to face cultural and linguistic barriers!

Thank you so much, Tomo! As Tomo says, this is not a hotel. We’d like to add that it’s a lot more - if you want beautiful surroundings in a low-key, calming and local environment, stop looking!- this is it. Tomo took us to the onsen and provided plenty of advice! Thanks :)

This was a great experience for my friends and me. If you're just looking for a clean, private room this might not be the place for you. But if you wanna have a great experience and want to get to know the super friendly and welcoming owner 野村さん then this is a perfect opportunity to do so. 野村さん welcomed us, then cooked dinner and offered us drinks, no extra charges. Together we were sitting by the fire and talking about life. In the morning we trained together and sparred for a few rounds. 野村さん's story is interesting and remarkable. Thanks to 野村さん I learned a new word: 相性 Thank You for the great experience, I hope next time the weather will be good, so we can go fishing together.

Extremely friendly host. He has a translator app on his iPad for translating from Japanese to English, he even accommodated a late night 2430 hour check-in. We went in, he provided dinner and after that only he ate. Imagine a 50 year old guy waiting till 12.30 in the night for us to finish dinner so that he can eat later. We were vegetarians, so he provided us with a Tofu pot. Honestly, did not expect such level of accomodation and service. We even checked out at 5AM, he said he won't be up by then but he made coffee and tea the previous day and stored it in flasks for us to drink before check-out. I'm running out of available space on the review to describe his character, absolutely amazing guy!!!

Tomo’s house is one of the memorable places about my Japan trip for sure. A beautiful, big Japanese traditional house, surrounded by the mountains of Huda. The host is super kind, and has recommendations for places in Hida-Furukawa and Takayama. Because the house is far away from everything, Tomo was so kind to take me to the onsen with his car two nights in a row. Like Tomo tells you when you book: this place is not a hotel, but it has far more character than just another hotel. The only thing I could note: maybe for a winter trip by public transport in Japan the location is not most ideal, since it is a bit far away and it was impossible to go into the mountains (unless you have appropriate snow hiking gear). I can’t imagine how beautiful the house and its surroundings will be when it’s spring or summer though! Thank you Tomo :)
