Very short stay but extremely pleasant! Kiyohito is a very attentive host, who picked us up from the station and dropped us off very early at the ferry the next day. We're not used to being so well received. The house was perfect and we would have liked to stay longer! The location is a little complicated if you are on foot but it is quiet and pleasant! A very big thank you!

Our stay at Cottage Hideaway was wonderful! We were able to find the location easily, and Aki met us and helped us check in easily. The cabin was beautiful and spotlessly clean. We were plenty warm even during snow storms with a combination of electric split systems, kerosene heaters, and a cozy fire place. The property was beautiful and huge! Our kids spent most of their time playing outside in the snow. Aki was great to work with. He was very proactive in providing recommendations for restaurants and ski resorts, checking on our needs, and even plowing the snow off the driveway every morning. We will remember our time in Aomori fondly.

The house is right opposite Hoshino Hotel, there is free parking lot, walk to Okinase Creek very close.The host is very kind, personally introducing the various facilities of the room, even on snowy days, there is an air conditioner and heater in the room, very warm!

Luxurious Stay in a Traditional Japanese House

We loved Yuka's beautiful home! It was a highlight of our trip. And Yuka bent over backwards for us to use her kotatsu even though it was put away for the summer and we are all so grateful for that!! It was the perfect way to end our day and start our morning when it was still a little cold out. Her home is the perfect blend of a traditional Japanese home with a mixture of modern features for our comfort. None of us had any complaints! We walked from the shin-Aomori station and it was a peaceful, 15-20 minute walk alongside the pond and quiet neighborhood. And the shin-Aomori station is a convenient station - we even decided to do an afternoon trip up to Hokkaido and it was dreamy. We would highly recommend this place!

the house is lovely, clean and peaceful. located within walk distance from the JR station. two spacious bedrooms with futons on the tatami inside is enough for the family. Only 2 concerns from us. First only toilet on the 1st floor which might be inconvenient at night as you need to step from stair to get there. Second the house has a limitation of electricity usage, when using 2 heaters together during winter night (-5c), it will cause a power outage even it turn back to normal automatically within 5-10 seconds but you cant use 2 heaters together during winter. this is something to be aware of if you're staying during the winter of Aomori. Other else about this house was excellent.

Nyok Peng and Yutaka were amazing hosts! They picked us up from the train station and always offered rides when needed. The house was cosy and very homely. I would love to visit again if I go back to Kuroishi!

Elderly host is very kind and helpful to take time explaining house rules and introduce places of interest. He drove us and stayed with us until we settled our rental car. Also very grateful to him to accommodate our needs especially with our toddler. After we checked out, he went out of his way to drive and catch up with us in order to return our toddler's Moomin and notebook. Small items but we truly appreciated his thoughtful gesture. Will book stay again if we visit Aomori again.

I had a wonderful time staying in Erwin and Judy's place. The home is absolutely beautiful, extremely comfortable and Erwin's friendliness made me feel right at home. Absolutely recommend. it is worth it's price. I was a bit late than what I have expected because of trains being late, but the owners where understanding. The place is very interesting and anywhere in the building you go you can find something particularly interesting. The owners also have a booklet with a lot of information like where to eat, what to see and etc. I will come back in summer for a festival.

We had such a wonderful time staying at Akira's place. He was so helpful at getting our luggage shipped to the next destination. He went above and beyond. We felt right at home and enjoyed the Hirosaki area.
