Waterfront vacation rentals in Toledo Bend Reservoir

The home was easy to find and in a great location. It was very clean and we are very happy that it was pet friendly. Also, the people around the area were super friendly!

We ended up at Jodie's place at the last minute- my dear husband "didn't think anyone would be camping" over July 4th so he didn't pre-book anything, and we struck out at the first three campgrounds that we tried! Found Jodie's place on Airbnb and although it was a little more expensive than the state park or MWR would have been, we jumped at the chance rather than head back home. There are six tent sites in total, but we had the place to ourselves. I think if there had been other campers there it might have felt less private, but as it was, we (by chance) booked the site closest to the lake and absolutely loved it. We even made friends with some of the folks staying in their RVs on the property. We would return here again.

Ashley, thank you so much for sharing your place with us for a few days! My kids and I had such a terrific time! We were able to spend lots of time together, play games, fished (and caught) from the bank, we even swam right out front. The home included everything we needed plus the added bonus of good wifi!!! We will be back!

I cannot say enough great things about "Shore Thing" and it's host Amy! From start to finish, Amy was an amazingly responsive and gracious host! She made sure we had everything we needed to make our vacation an incredible experience. Coming from someone who is in the "people business", I can always tell when someone takes pride in what they do. Amy is DEFINITELY one of those people! Everything in this place was clean, in order, and well-maintained. From the modern updated bathroom and kitchen appliances to the multitude of other amenities, "Shore Thing" is the best place we've ever stayed on Toledo Bend Lake! I HIGHLY recommend this property and especially it's host. Thank you again Amy and "Shore Thing" for making our vacation spectacular!

We have stayed at the Heart of Huxley cabin twice now. We always feel comfortable with plenty of space. We also love and appreciate the pet-friendly policy. Whenever we come to Huxley to visit family, we always check to see if this cabin is available first.

We enjoyed the great view from the porch and easy access from the dock for fishing and boating. Inside was very comfortable and open making you feel relaxed. Family enjoyed playing games. Temperature control with central air was excellent. The laundry and kitchen had everything you needed and was well organized. Over all a great visit to the lake. Look forward to returning some day.

We live this place! Nice and clean house. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Very nice outside kitchen has everything you need. Hot tub is a huge plus! We enjoyed it.

Really nice place on Toledo. Good location easy access right off main roads. Liked the access to the kayaks and canoe. Great space for big family.

A perfect getaway place for us and our three sons and their families! Plenty of space and so well organized for our annual weekend retreat. Pristine restrooms is high on my list and they certainly were. The kitchen is so well stocked and even has goodies you would never expect but will be pleased to find. Even has 2 huge refrigerators and a coffee pot and a fancy keurig which we certainly used! Dishwasher and washer and dryer worked great. The fire pit area was very welcoming as was the patio area. Just a short walk to the pier that was solid and secure. The kids loved swimming at the shore and at the end of the dock. They took turns sharing the two kayaks. We all pitched in and left the place sparkling just like we found it so we will be eligible to book again real soon! Don't hesitate to contact the owner, Dean.
