Tiny house vacation rentals in Ticino

This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. You really feel how much Maria cares for her family’s ancestral hut which has been in the family since 1600. The hut had everything we needed, we made a delicious warm meal, had warm drinks watching the incredible view, felt so cozy and warm inside with the wood burner and slept like happy sardines in the bed. The little in the front is super helpful to have and the kitchen just has it all. We found everything so clean and ready for us, even the wood cut and ready to be burned. It is a small space of magical charm where you feel transported in time to 1800s in the most beautiful alpine setting. We absolutely fell in love with it and felt grateful to Maria and her family. We hiked up from avegno, we are fit but it took us about three hours without stops and it is all very steep uphill so do give yourself plenty of time. On the way back we returned via Cimetta but don’t attempt this hike in the snow unless you are up for a big adventure!

The cottage is as described, magical. I was able to observe many animals and roam the area mindfully. I was there alone for 14 days on a little break and could enjoy it very much. Unfortunately, it rained a lot, which no one could influence, so the pellet stove was worth its weight in gold. Communication was warm and everyone helpful, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Thank you so much for this great time!

Roccolo is a magical haven with a beautiful energy and sense of love! Only 1h30 away from Milan, you’ll feel immersed in a different dimension.. Roccolo has been restaurated with all needed amenities perfectly nested in its small spaces, the view from the windows of perched beds on top of the tower facing the Como lake at night are magical! The Magic is even more astonishing when you realize you have a private garden which is a whole forest.. the trees in front of the house form a bubble of peace and meditation, with a nice outdoor table where you can prepare and enjoy candlelight dinners with breathtaking view on the lake.. hammocks to read and meditate.. and listen the sound of the nature.. few friendly voices coming from the tiny village of Gisazio in the valley beneath or the grunts of wild boars from the forest beyond the edge of a large green clearing on the other side of the Roccolo.. Ernesto has been a fantastic host and his homemade honey will remind us of this fairy place!

How were very satisfied. Small but you feel very comfortable. It's a perfect place to drive down. We had brought a gas stove and that was very helpful. Especially if you're not so familiar with a wood fire kitchen. The location is idyllic and you have great hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. Highly recommend and I don't think I was there the last time. 🥰

Nice place. Good for the price!

I had an amazing time at this place! The huge natural-style garden is a true paradise for nature lovers, and although my visit was at the beginning of fall, there was still a big variety of produce I was invited to pick from it - including some tasty plants I didn't even know before :) I had originally planned to explore much more of the local area, but I just felt so at home and relaxed in cottage & garden that I actually spent most of my time there. Emiliano and his girlfriend are super nice people and amazing hosts: Kind and helpful in every regard, and great to share a glass of wine with. They succeeded in making me feel right at home. I'll visit again for sure!

Very beautiful stay and view!

We had a the most perfect time. The house is very cosy, peaceful, the view is wonderful, and there are a lot of beautiful walking paths nearby. The house contains everything that you need for your stay, without surplus. For us, the "cherry on the top" was the host, who helped us through our stay when needed, and was very reactive by text. We would highly recommend !!

Very cozy accommodation, a nice fire in the fireplace was waiting for us when we arrived late. My two daughters and I felt very comfortable and at home. There is everything you need, from shampoo to soap, bath towels, as well as olive oil, vinegar, spices, coffee, herbal tea, hair dryer, etc... 😃 Small coffee area on the balcony. The accommodation is impeccably clean and very well decorated! Maja is very responsive, very attentive, we asked if we could leave later in the afternoon, our daughter finished a mountain bike race, and she accepted without any problem, thank you again☀️ We'd love to come back here next year! This place is amazing! We can’t say enough positive things about Luca, his family, and the work they’ve done to allow people to stay at their beautiful grounds! The views are stunning, the cabin was cozy and well designed, and the local products we got to taste were great! We also bought some of the products the family produces, and they are super tasty! Warm recommendations from us!

Amazing!!! Everything about this trip was perfect. Maya made our trip seem less and stress free. She was always available to answer any questions. She was kind and very friendly. The studio is spotless. Everything looked brand new. Even had private hot tub and sauna. Would not hesitate to recommend to everybody. YOu will not be disappointed. Thanks again Maya x

Excellent stay. The accommodation is very nice and cozy. The amenities offered are of very good quality in the accommodation and the pool offers a pleasant space. In times of very hot weather, if the accommodation had had air conditioning the nights would have been more breathable. Our hostess Frederica was very available.

A beautiful place surrounded by beautiful nature! We recommend arriving in daylight :-) It is then easier to find the way to the house. We arrived very late (thanks for the flexible check-in!) and had an adventurous walk. The cottage itself is very romantic and equipped with everything you might need! If we had any questions, we received answers quickly and easily. We felt comfortable - thank you!

The location of the apartment convinces with its seclusion and tranquility. By car required, it can be reached from Stresa in about 5 minutes. The view on the Lago Maggiore is unique. The rooftop terrace is one of the highlights. The furniture is a bit outdated but functional. Due to the hillside location, there are minor problems with humidity. This requires the permanent use of the air conditioning. Mark was always available, although not present, and took care of all the matters arising. Overall, we can highly recommend the apartment, especially because of the location.

a peaceful corner in the middle of nature, super suggestive location, delicious mini chalet! Very nice heated tub but I recommend turning it on many hours before to reach the right temperature. a suggestion for the host; for a greater sense of privacy, a hedge around the accommodation.

A mountain cabin whose amenities provide everything you need for your stay. Nevertheless, very furniture corresponding to a mountain house, so you always feel like you are in a mountain hut. Over an hour hiking and you have all the possibilities in the Bettmer area from easy to difficult tours. Back at the cabin, you just have peace and quiet. It was a fabulous experience for us.

This place is paradise. Words and pictures don't describe the feeling of being immersed in the mountains, yet safe and comfortable; of throning over the valley on the terrace; of the peacefulness and the freedom when nature is your only neighbour. This is all made possible by an incredible amount of passion and effort Federico's family puts into welcoming you in the cabin. It seems way too good for Airbnb. They make the hike there twice for every guest - once to prepare, and once to show you everything. And that doesn't include all the maintenance work all year round, and the effort it took to put this cabin into this perfect condition in the first place. On the way up, Alfio told us all about the history of the valley and about all the paths and non-paths to hike. Alfio, Anna, and Federico, we are blessed to have received your great hospitality, and that you gifted us the opportunity to make this truly unique experience.

This really is a beautifully and very cleverly designed tiny house that feels much bigger than it is. We stayed here in February, with a view of snow-covered mountain tops and very much enjoyed the beautiful surroundings — or just reading, inside, in the sun. Recommended! There are electrical heaters, but we only used the wood stove. Franca kindly provided us with plenty of wood. There's a handle at the top right that you can use to regulate airflow. You will smell the stove though: when you open the door to add wood, some smoke may come inside. In any case, it was very comfortable: the house is well insulated, warms up very quickly and doesn't cool down too much over night. When the sun is shining, there's really no need for the stove at all. Oh and note it's one open space, so the upstairs sleeping area will get quite warm; we briefly opened the windows before we went to bed.

We had a wonderful time at Miranda's cottage. It is located in a beautiful valley, you have views of the village of Meula and the forests and mountains. The area is fantastically beautiful. You can hike and Lake Maggiore is only about 1.15 hours by car. The cottage is very homey! When the rain bursts on the roof while the fire burns, you can relax wonderfully on the comfortable bed. I also particularly liked the modern bathroom with the large rain shower. I'd love to come back!

Great place to stay if you are staying near Lake Como or near Menaggio. 10-15 min walk to the town centre, peaceful place and great views. Highly recommend it!
