This very popular National Trust owned historic country pub is well worth a visit. It has a lovely cosy atmosphere with roaring open fires in the winter. The large garden and apple orchard is the perfect place to have a drink and enjoy good locally sourced food. They do a superb traditional Sunday lunch. Booking is highly recommended.

Famous for its beer and asparagus festivals. Quirky, old national trust public house, good food and great atmosphere.
