Tips from locals
Sticking with the outdoor theme, there are also some wonderful walks and views at “Ham Hill” in Stoke-Sub-Hamdon, again just a 10-minute drive away with the Prince of Wales pub at the top of the hill for a refreshing pint after www.princeofwaleshamhill.co.uk.
Ham Hill is home to a range of wildlife - there is a small herd of roe deer that roams the Country Park, and foxes and badgers are regularly seen! With a fascinating history, exciting wildlife, and plant life it's the perfect way to entertain the whole family and take your dog on an adventure, too.
Lovely walks and great views. Kids activities during the holidays and a pub right in the middle.
