One of Sydney's best kept secrets! I've been living in Sydney 20+ years and only just discovered this little gem! Only a 15 min train ride to Auburn + 20 min bus ride (Bus 909). Admission is $4 The Auburn Botanic garden features a Fauna Reserve with kangaroos, wombats, wallabies and emus, a Sunken Rose Garden, a Scented Garden, the Japanese garden, a tree lined Reflection Pool, native Rain-forest, as well as an Avery. Peacocks, swans and native birds roam freely in the gardens There is a picnic area, I recommend packing a picnic lunch as they don't have any cafe or eatery's in the gardens or nearby.

The garden has many walking tracks, surrounded by many local trees, flowers, and shrubs. Clear walking tracks. Quiet and peaceful.
