Tips from locals
Historic chicory kiln/museum, lots of friendly farm animals. The host Lois Airs has a wealth of information and is a great island character,
Occupies over half the island. Unique vegetation, rich with birdlife, koalas, echidnas... and no foxes.
70% of the Island is National Park, and of all of Vic National Parks its the most weed free. Nearly 100 species of Native Orchids, 248 species of birds, Koalas, Potaroos and no foxes or European rats.
Lots of cycling tracks and chance to see koalas in the wild. The bike tracks are a bit rough so might be better for mountain bikes. Catch ferry from Corinella $10 per person. $80 or a car.
