This as a wonderful wildlife sanctuary a short drive from Hobart. You can feed friendly kangaroos and encounter wombat, Tasmanian devil, echidna and many other animals. $32/person

Bonorong has the usual Wallabies, possums, Koalas and Tassie Devils and bird life to show case but it also provides a fun bus tour where zebras chase you, camels throw their heads into your arms, emu's try to outrun the bus, where a white lion lounges in paradise and ALL the animals look happy to be there. Its not like other zoos.

Lots of local animals. Great for kids. And then stop off at Richmond for a visit to the lolly shop or a great meal.

Wildlife sanctuary with only rescued animals . An amazing place full of people who are committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of our native animals.
