Why locals recommend it
Crossing this beautiful bridge in the heart of the city, it’s easy to imagine meeting Marlon Brando in Last Tango in Paris, or Steven Spielberg shooting Munich, or Jean-Paul Belmondo on the roof of the elevated metro in the French film Peur sur la Ville. It’s such a icon! Take the stairs in the center of the bridge to reach l’Île aux Cygnes, an island in between the riverbanks. At its tip, you will find a small replica of the Statue of Liberty made by Auguste Bartholdi and Gustave Eiffel. Roman Polanski shot a scene here with Harrison Ford for the movie Frantic.
Tips from locals
The view of the Eiffel Tower is remarkable from the deck. Thus, for the fireworks and other major events, the crowd-it invades to enjoy the show. It was listed as historical monuments.
