Stop for a stroll on the Bridge to Nowhere constructed in the 1930s when Lord Leverhulme attempted to connect the villages of Ness and Tolsta. The road was never completed but the bridge is still there and it is a great place for walking and spotting wildlife. On your way back to town you can stop to visit Coll Pottery Craft Centre

Originally planned to be a road from Tolsta to Ness, building the bridge is as far as they got. But for the more intrepid walker, there is a walking route over to Ness, with an abandoned village on route.

Exactly what it says on the tin. It's a Bridge, and it goes nowhere. Not far from us here and very close to the enormous Tolsta Beach!
