The Anacostia Arts Center is a local favorite in our neighborhood. The Center features the largest Black owned bookstore in DC, Mahogany Books, which is a must visit. They also have one of the cities most popular vegan soulfood restaurants inside. There's also multiple stores inside including a high scale thrift store and Nubian Hueman that features Black owned brands from across the country. The Arts Center features a rotating gallery of local artists and art for sale, as well as many special events throughout the year.

This place has a tiny grocery store, a bookstore, a theater, a vegan soul food takeout restaurant, some clothing stores and an art space. It is pretty cool! Check it out. There is also a bike pump and tool kit on the sidewalk outside if you need that :-)
