Located in one of the most beautiful and oldest neighborhoods in Coyoacan, Mexico City, Casa Azul was turned into a museum in 1958, four years after the painter's death. Today it is one of the busiest museums in the Mexican capital. The building was Kahlo's birthplace and is also the home where she grew up, lived with her husband Diego Rivera for a number of years, and, in a room on the upper floor, would die. It gets very busy specially during the weekends, so you'll probably want to book the tickets in advance on-line. I recommend being there before noon when it's less busy.
