Walking around the KNSM and Borneo islands is a fantastic pass time. You can sometimes see huge ships pass by, but the architecture and the urban design are also worth exploring. During winter evenings I like to walk here with music on my ears. On summer days, kids know exactly where to go for safe swimming.

On a hot day, you can sit on the gras and swim (!) at the KNSM eiland just around the corner

Newly developed part of Amsterdam - modern but in Amsterdam style, with a nice waterfront. Interesting to discover on foot.
