Even Ferdinand Raimund, Johann Nestroy and Josef Strauss used to play here. Famous director Max Reinhardt had it renovated in 1924 and it still looks like this today. Founded in 1788, "die Josefstadt" is the oldest still performing theater in Vienna.

A small, but excellent theatre. Usually you can buy very cheap left over tickets right before the performance, also cheap student tickets are available.
